The actual "article" is here: http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2005370109,00.html

They're basically mocking her because her record company is bringing out a Greatest Hits album.

Well you can't really blame them for that. For many things, yes, but not for that. I've been surprisingly impressed with her acting but she sucked as a singer!

If her old record company want to cash in on her recent success, then good luck to them. Its better to do it now whilst they can make some cash.

I don't see what the Sun's problem is.

She had a fair few hits in the mid 90s and was very succesful. She had at least 2 number ones and a few other top 5 and top 10 hits. It's more than what some people who have brought out greatest hits albums ever had.

And added to that she was very well know, her songs were very popular (at the time) and well know and didn't she even break the record for being the youngest person/woman to have a UK number one single when 15?

It's the silly season and they're short of things to print.

As far as cheesy pop goes, she wasn't all that bad...

Of course, I say this as someone who owns many, many albums that can't be owned up to in polite society and I daresay I'll be adding this one!

she probably doesnt even have any say in this so how can they have a go at her for it!

I dont get it Kylies now some kind of great icon for her incredibly crap pop songs she used to do and the pipers slagged off for it. I mean come on she was only 16 at the time

I dont even think there bothered about it they just released it for the sake of it. Its £3.97 in some places and has no promo work done for it.

It's Victoria Newton's Bizzare Column. Which often seems to have attacks at female pop stars, whilst she sucks up to various indie bands. Like a bizzare cross between NME and Heat.

In short, it's pants.
