'cause I'm not. He was probably the biggest non-event of the show so far! Good riddance I say.

Me. He offered an alternative view of what was going on. In his odd way he was quite stabilising and even entertaining?

I'll miss him a lot. Only he Alex and Adele rose above the shallow rubbish character levelof the rest. I liked Sunita for the same reason. It seems if you have a brain BB3 House is NOT the place for you. The babbling idiotic Jade and Jonny can't go fast enough for me

Do you mean the babbling Johnny who has just been discussing conjugating Latin verbs with Adele.
I thought I was hallucinating!

I'm going to miss Sandy. As far as I'm concerned he was the most entertaining character in there.

He was always honest, true to himself. Was strong minded enough not to care about what any of the others thought about him, unlike most of the others in there. The few conversations he had were interesting.

But most important he was the only one in there who really understood what Big Brother is all about. See his comment last Friday as Davina announced Alison's eviction "someone out there knows the truth". He knew exactly why Alison had been voted out, because he and Alex had provided conflict in the house which after all is what we all tune in to see, how much more boring would it be if they all got along swimmingly.

I'm pleased Sandy went out the way he did, an exit fully befitting his stay in the house.

Goodbye Sandy, and good luck to you!

I totally agree and I also think any of the four people with brains you mentioned would have fitted in much better on previous Big Brothers.

Unfortunately the powers that be decided to fill the house full of idiots this year for some reason.

Sandy was extreemly judgemental of the other housemates, hypocritical in terms of critisising others for things and then doing exactly the same himself, and dull as dishwater (pool water?) when 'deep in thought'. Alex is a complete nut who is actually growing on me since he's been in the 'poor' house as he's coped much better than I expected he would and has even stopped moaning about irrelevant things and working more to get on with people (did he learn a lesson from Jonny on how to forgive and forget?).

Adele is...well...I don't concider being sly and manipulative as positive traits myself, and in what way does she rise above the rest? Talking about if she fancies Lee or not? Bitching about Kate? Talking about her music? Sharing feelings with people without giving anything much away about herself?

Now, Sunita I really liked. She was smart, down to earth, funny, and interesting. I was really disapointed when she walked but it was obvious she was just not connecting with anyone in the house (who can blame her really?). I wonder if she was in the house now when everyone has calmed down a lot whether she'd have been able to stick it to the end - maybe even get to know people and connect.

I agree that Jade tends to babble...she could do it for England (or is that London? England is in London isn't it?)

Jonny was in the house for a laugh from day one, but you could hardly accuse him of babbling since Alison has left...he's been so down and quiet.

...and as I type, that's exactly what they're talking about on E4!

Geesh! Adele is sucking up to Jonny and Kate now....she changes how she feels about people even more often than Jade...Jade will at least confront people while she doesn't like them before she loves them again....Adele loves anyone who's in ear shot, and hates everyone who isn't!

I was quite touched by sandy's last day in the house.

whether you like him or not, he is totally honest - which is more than a lot of people out there can say.

He did things HIS way.

Sandy, thanks for making me remember that the only way to do things, is the way I want to do them.

I'll miss him, he was entertaining in his own way. I liked his observations on the housemates and the way he talked about things with Alex, Jade and Adele.

I think, like some of you, that Alex, Adele, Sunita, Lynne and Sandy would all have probably fitted in better with last years crowd on BB. I still think it was worth having them in, to see if some of them could have mixed. Adele does seem to be getting on a bit better with Kate and Jonny at the moment, maybe that's 'cause everyone else is in bed!

I agree - Sandy's last night was the only time he really seemed himself to me - but why was he so obsessed with hating Jonny?

He was articulate & appeared composed on BBLB & a man of his experience & intelligence should have made more of an effort to break the utter boredom by interacting. He could have undertaken to educate Jade for a start - she's said she wants to learn! Dean was often boring but gentle when explaining things to Brian & Helen & never seemed to patronise them. I'm afraid that sandy is his own worst enemy

I think Sandy's last night was very similar to Sunita's in that they both came out of their shells a bit and were much happier with integrating into the group. I admire Sandy though, as I do Sunita - at least they were honest with themselves. The ironic thing is though that when they did come out of their shells, they were very interesting, likeable people. They provided intelligent balance to the house. They're both missed.

My theory about why Alex and Sandy survived that eviction vote was because people who DIDN'T like the Sandy and Alex bitching double act were split over which of the two to evict. Nearly 2/3rds of the vote was to keep Alison IN, so IMHO he wasn't quite so right about why Alison left.

Just because someone says they're honest, doesn't mean they are.

I think he ran away because he is a control freak and was like a cornered rat, striking out for confrontation. I always saw a frightened man, begging for attention and respect, without doing anything to gain it.

I pity him and hope he gets help, and is reunited with his estranged children That would solve a lot of his bitter resentment towards youth.

I do not miss him. I don't suffer fools gladly either Sandy. I'm only being honest.

Interesting comparison between Dean and Sandy. Most interesting to me is that I liked Dean and didn't like Sandy - I wonder why I didn't like Sandy more? Dean always struck me as being amused in trying to deal with Paul and Helen, but gentle and conciderate enough to hide it from them...only sharing his feelings in those late night chats with Elizebeth...

Sandy on the other hand when frustrated by others imaturity and lack of education saw himself as superior and didn't have the patience to allow others their foibles....I guess it was that intollerance and not valuing and cherishing the variety in people that I didn't like....wouldn't the world be a sad place if we were all the same? But he seems to want to suround himself with people just like him rather than accept people and enjoy the differences as a good thing.

I'm going to miss Sandy just for his chats he used to have with Alex in the garden. Those 2 together never failed to amuse me.

Folk can say what they like about Sandy, but he certainly couldn't be labelled as lazy. He did more than his fair share around the house while a lot of the HM's were still in bed.

I think, had the format been different, and the HM's had a weekly task to work on you may have seen a different Sandy. I can equate with him being bored in there despite what he did around the house. With no books/magazines or games to play to pass time, it would probably be enough to send me scatty as well.

I can imagine Sandy being a great conversationalist when you get to know him. It's just a shame that not enough people in the house did that - get to know him. I know it takes 2 people to make a conversation, and both have to be willing but, I don't think personally that he felt he could have an adequate conversation with the majority of the HM's. Which he probably judged on a day to day, night by night basis and came to the conclusion that he had very little in common with them. Plus, he didn't want to get involved with the silly immature games that the HM's concocted either, which further distanced him from the bulk of the HM's.

I must admit though, when I look back to previous BB's there have been some cracking conversations, as a group and within pockets of HM's nattering together. It's not just been the nomination and bitching chats. There have been quality conversations on all sorts of topics. It's generally these chats that bring me closer to the HM's, and gives me a real incite into what makes a person tick. This BB's been sadly lacking in decent conversation IMO.

I'm sure that now Sandy's back in the real world, he'll be a lot happier, and I'd like to thank him for the short time he spent in there. Despite what others might think, I found him to be a very funny man in a dry kinda way.

I will miss Sandy, the main reason being i thought he was honest from the start , he knew what he was doing. Most of the others put on acts.

I'm not sure if they have really chose then right contestants this year, I dont seem to have been gripped as much as previous years, although recent events have made it a bit more interesting.

I agree. The problem with BB3 is that they have no real brains in there. Sunita would have been good if she had stayed as she had interesting things to say as did Sandy. I will miss Sandy and Alex's chats about Kate! Alex is now the only decent person in there. I hope he wins

I Definately will not miss Sandy, he was a pompous obnoxious plank.

He did not allow for other peoples opinions, was not interested in anything but himself.

Goodbye and good riddance i say!!
