The ignorance of Natasha Bedingfield
I was ripping my hair out in rage after reading an extract by Natasha Bedingfield in TV Hits today where she was quoted as saying.....
"there are so many wonderful places in England, like Glasgow " . People who do that really enrage me, not that I'm anti-English or anything, I'm proud to be both British and Scottish and like the English, but it's just not right.

Don't get so worked up - she's a pop star, it's her job to be idiotic.

To a point I can understand people of vast Countries like the United States being ignorant - some might not travel much outside of their own state but somebody from the UK? Hmm you do wonder sometimes. Why not write to the Mag yourself and express your views? Regards the Ches Digi Man |

It's lack of education. We should use her as an example as to what is wrong with the youth of today. I'm sure she'd be happy to help

So this couldn't have been a slip of the tongue that she didn't realise she had made?
I'm sure if you do so many interviews for so many people you do tend to switch into an automatic pilot mode and when you switch off you can say the stupidest things without realising. It's like asking someone to name a vegetable begging with A and apple tends to come into your head. I'm sure she knows Glasgow is in Scotland. Long day of interviews, tired - say England instead of UK by mistake without realising. It can happen. |

Is she the one who doesn't know how to pronounce 'Hyperbole' in her song?

It could simply be a typo, nothing to get worked up about. If it was live on TV, then yeah sure, something to say.

And the OP should probably check out what McFly just did to Pinball Wizard, before looking to criticise other artists away from the actual music.
![]() Who on earth had the idea, 'Right, we're an average teenybopper band, let's cover The Who!!'. |

Although Natasha was born in London, the Bedingfield family are from New Zealand and spend a lot of their time over there, Daniel was born in New Zealand and probably they don't know (or haven't bothered to find out ) much about this country. I think Daniel should give that best male BRIT award to his sister.

No, they butchered it. Fairly clearly too.
Hardly a brilliant cover, and completely unecessary to boot. |

Being a fan off someone/thing doesn't make you capable of emulating it ffs. |
