Oii! There's nowt wrong with POLY'S.
Jezza, I think you might be taking this a bit too seriously, and besides in my experience the having/not having a degree has had little correlation with observed intelligence. And remember , we can only say how intelligent we observe them to be, we can't actually issue any sort of standadized tests from our tellys: I don't think even the "interactive" services are THAT interactive! I think if you can't enter into the spirit of the forum, perhaps you shouldn't take part...
Also: if pharmacology is *anything* like biochem, then I personally found Law much easier... but that's just me of course.

I am not the subject of discussion here. So give it a rest on the spirit of the forum etc. You are not a moderator here and I have as much right to tell you to get the hell off this forum as much as you do me. As far as I can tell you haven't got an argument so you are responding with weak personal attacks. Or are you just hung up about having a Poly education? One wonders.
Now with regards to your having/not having argument where does that apply exactly? Adele has a degree so the argument is not relevant.
The point is that she played the intelligence game by going to Uni and demonstrated that she hasn't got much end of story.
So regarding Law degrees are you now telling me that the Graduates I employ (I am a lawyer) are actually not that bright?? That is funny because I thought you need a D and an E maximum to get into Pharmacology at an old poly and 3 A's to get into Law at Brum.
Oh by the way I don't know how you drew the conlcusion that I have something against poly's. Can't see where I said that. Simple fact is that the old poly's are places for people who are unable to demonstrate enough intelligence to get into a redbrick Uni. That's a FACT.
