Does anyone else agree that they are absolutely tedious and pointless. Throwing a basketball through a hoop. Walking round a swimming pool. Kicking a football. Decorate a f=king chair The producers of BB seem to be on the same level as my old primary school teacher.

but then there have been so many comments about the primary school age behaviour of the housemates that the tasks are therefore perfect!

Absolutely pathetic, who is running BB this year? Monkeys? Oh i take that back, at least monkeys know how to have fun.

I would give them challenges everyday, if they pass they get fed, if not, they don't. For every luxury, they would have to do a task and it wouldn't be anything easy. Give them one hour to learn to walk 10m on their hands with no help from anyone else, now that's a challenge.

the challenges are pathetic, unchallenging, boring & the result of some lazy team's 'can't be bothered to put much thought into this project!' attitude. They are also tailored to fit into a half-hour TV slot.

The tasks so far seem to be more on the emotional side rather than testing skill etc. l did wonder when they did the basketball test if it would be a case of every man for himself or would they say let the weaker go first, and it didn't take long for the sniping to take place after. Tonights task will be interesting in that one person will have to decide who they are going to take into the rich side and will they take those from the poor. l hope it is Adele because l would love to know if she would take Jade, knowing that if she leaves her on the poor side she can not get revenge and nominate her this week.

Jade must be doomed to the poor side this week - unless she wins the "challenge".

She is unlikely to win any "challenge" ever, unless it is "Be as stupid as you can for 10 minutes". Not that I want to give the BB "producers" any ideas of course.

At the beginning Spencer asked for a musical instrument to pass time but BB said that this and other things could be given as rewards - will this be on week 9 do you think.
The only rewards that they seem to be handing out is food and drink - is there a deal with tescos going on????
They need a challenge that will take a lot of practicing to keep them occupied in the week - it worked before and no one complained about the format so why change it........

They can use part of the £400 to buy luxuries. A magazine is £150 for a week, a pool table £150 a day etc. If this weeks rich hms had organised themselves better they would have time to have bought some.

I just have to agree.

The tasks were normally the interesting part of the week, but now they are the build up to the biggest anti-climax of the week.

The fact that they have to fit into a 20 minute slot starting at 2200hrs doesnt help. A very good idea to show it live but a very bad idea to squeeze a lame task into such a short period.

Just another example of a very poorly managed BB3. Pity

i think there is far more fun in working hard for a challenge with a few days building up to the climax which they could still show live on a saturday night.some sort of memory test, trick, endurance the list is endless for tasks that need practise and dedication to win.i think even the hm would welcome something to concentrate on.

they hardly deserve to be called challenges, do they?

they are summer camp activites for children

at least the last big brother tasks were amusing and sometimes lasted for the whole week. anyone remember the electronic babie?

that was great, anyone remember any other tasks from bb1 and bb2?

The problem with being able to hire things is that they cost so much!
If it was £150 for the week then that would be fair, but not per day.
Just think what luxuries they could get for the same money, and from their point of view I'm sure they'd rather be getting drunk on £75 of booze then being able to read a copy of Good Housekeeping etc.

On the subject of Jade not being able to nominate... do the rest of the HM's know? I know she told Adele, but I thought she was keeping it a secret.

I can remember the assault course from bb1 cos it was one of the funniest moments in bb history when nasty nick messed it up (after boasting about his time in the TA i think).

I agree they've messed up big style with the tasks this year why can't they practice for a few days (like in the other bbs) then be tested live on channel 4.

Excellent idea
that assault course has been the best task so far. Why don't you email your post to Ch. 4

i remember the one where the housemates had to learn to ride a unicycle, and tightrope etc. Those sort of tasks are more fun to watch - both whilst they are practising, and actually doing the task.

What Do People Think of The challenges?

I am sorry my original answer would not be suitable to put in to print, or for publishing on a forum.

The current task system is not what it was or could be, this so-called LIVE task is abysmal, we are about to cross the 8 minutes barrier for the all combine weekly tasks of BB3 this year, week 1 was 10 questions in 3 minutes, week 2 Basketball allowed time 5 mins task completed/terminated in 2mins 23secs, This week Darts allowed time 3 mins. possibly will be completed in under 2 mins.

What a waste of time, wait for next weeks thrilling installment of toss the producer, prefereably off of a motorway fly-over.

There must be something wrong there...with the producers..have they no imagination, surely they must realise the importance of proper challenges for the HMs as well as the viewers. The tasks on previous shows were excellent.,it would be great to see the HMs suffer with either mental or physical challenges.Either way Jade would be funny 2 watch, she would suffer the most:

What I don't get is that even I can tell that not giving the HMs anything to do, any reason to interact is just going to mean they fall into a semi-comatose state of stupor. Now, they've got all these supposed Psychologists on the payroll (who've not contributed a great deal so far as far as I can tell), so WHAT ARE THEY PAYING THESE CLEVER PEOPLE FOR???

Jack
Cleverer than the so-called "experts" apparently.
