I can't help think that no-one would have been annoyed with Alex if he made that decision, he could have easily justified it by saying he didn't want to choose favourites. Now he's caused a load of tension.

Alex should have chosen to live on the poor side with Jonny Sophie and Kate. It you have to make a few sacrifices if you want to win 70 grand. This move would have made him popular with everyone.

But instead he just chose the girls because they are closest to his standards in toilet hygene. Minus Kate. Everyone on the poor side will just nominate him and Sophie next week. What a div!!!!!

Wonder how Sophie feels now? I reckon her elation was false and secretly she's annoyed that she's being made to look unpopular by being the only person to be in the rich side 2 weeks in a row.

Alex was always guaranteed 4 nominations... that is why this process was actually unfair to the winner, whoever it was! There was no right or wrong decision, but I say he'll come out OK beacuse on the whole he made the right choices. If he had split Spencer and PJ he would have been damned by one or the other anyways. I'd have liked to see Sophie in the poor sdie, but overall, as I say, Alex done good.

Had Alex chosen not to live with any1 on the rich side tonight, then tomorrow when the new male person comes to the house, he'll be stuck with him for the week...sharing the bedroom, had alex taken this into consideration, he may have chosen differently...we still don't know which way or how many ways he swings

Yeah that seems more sensible but I think he would have incurred the wrath of Jade which means he still would have got 4 votes from Kate, Johnny, Sophie and then Jade. mmmm... but on the other hand his side would have voted for Johnny so they may have gone heads up!!!

Yes but being shacked up with Kate Jonny and Sophie would have given him the opportunty to pal up with them as he did with the others last week. Everyone would have seen him as a martyr figure.

The noble thing to do in that situation would have been to remain on the poor side and choose 4 people for the rich side.

And the 4 people I'd have picked for the rich side would have been Jade, Spencer, Kate and Adele.

But anyway, in the situation of being the winner, the noble thing would have been to stay on the poor side so that 4 other people can be on the rich side. I kinda dislike Alex for being so selfish, seeing as he was one of the people who coped *well* on the poor side.

About 45 minutes ago, I watched Alex sitting there looking smug, smoking a cigarette, talking about how easy it was to cope on the poor side and how he didn't mind it that much. While Spencer leaned against the bars looking pissed off... Spencer has spent days saying how much he can't stand being on the poor side.

As someone else has suggested, Alex could have choosen to stay on the poor side and NOT choosen anyone to join him...as he sat there so excitted about "no more chickpeas" I was thinking that if he did this noble act for probably one week of which he's already said isn't so bad then he'd be sure to win the show I'd have thought? Plus, it seems to me that he'd be so much happier without having to share his precious space with anyone else? There'd be no one to tinkle on the toilet seat, no one to make smells near him, and no one to annoy his fragile sensibilities or fail to meet his high standards...

I think if he'd done this, he could have left the house to be carried on the shoulders of the crowd...

I'd choose only one person, Jade. That would result in both of us being nominated by the HMs but I feel I would not be voted out by the viewers as Jade would be favourite to be evicted.

As Alex said himself he didn't really enjoy the poor side he just got on with it and ate the food that was there. He didn't make a fuss and complain all the time so just for that reason he deserves to be on the rich side this time - Adele too.

Not too sure about Sophie though.

Jade: will probably have a great time in the rich side

Sophie: Hardly eats and when she does its almost the same food as the poor side, hardly drinks, hardly smokes.

Hmmmm, seems to me that this week could be much harder for the housemates than last week. Those on the poor side will be climbing the walls wanting good food etc and those on the rich side won't have a clue how to spend all the money and will be complaining about having eaten too much rich food etc.

If the poor side don't do something to get revenge I'll be surprised. Imagine being denied something only to have those that have taken "your place" squander the chance...

Except he could only choose up to 3 to join him. The sensible choice would have been to have left Jade on the poor side. She has no nomination vote this week anyway, so unless one of his new room-mates on the rich side voted against him, he would receive only 3 votes from the others. Leaving Sophie on the rich side would make her the next obvious nomination target.

Anyway - if Alex and Sophie come up for public vote - who's more likely to go? Judging by most of the threads here, I'd say Sophie....who would be my choice also.
