So do you really think had PJ or Spencer won the task, they would've taken Alex? I doubt it somehow - us lads together and all that. Alex won the task, he had the right to choose and, based on PJ and Spencer's subsequent behaviour, he chose absolutely rightly. PJ and Spencer really showed themselves up last night. PJ's threat to 'chin' Alex was absolutely pathetic. I'm glad they're staying in the poor house - in the gutter where they belong.

Originally posted by minnie OK, I'll concede that PJ has been an out and out bounder in his treatment of Jade (and previous girlfriends if the papers are to be beleived). But he and Spencer still have my sympathies in regard to this incident. At the end of the day Alex is unable to look either of them in the eye and give a reason for dumping on them like this.
The way he has also used Jade is disgusting...he's in it (scuse the pun, none intended) for what he can get, yet Jade actually thinks he likes her and is confusing sex/contact with love - as do many girls who don't realise how scummy some "men" can be when they will say anythign to get their "end away". Their juvenile sex-related remarks since day one have proved what shallow people they really are. Poor side for the Pond Life - woopie do!

So do you really think had PJ or Spencer won the task, they would've taken Alex? |

Whoever he didn't pick probably wouldn't forgive him for it. Imagine if he'd had to choose between PJ or Spencer - there would have been only one person in the poor house who had been there the previous week - I wonder how that would have gone down? It was an interesting tactic by BB and one that would be sure to have created divisions. Their ratings have probably zoomed because of it!!!

People seem not to be able to put themselves in the possition of Spencer and PJ in facing the disappointment of another week in the poor side and forgive them what was after all a fairly brief outburst. PJ in particular made reference to the fact that he knew he was acting childishly but felt pushed beyond endurance, and Spencer really didn't seem to be that unpleasant directly to anyone as he choose to express his feelings of frustration to others instead.
On the other hand, PJ has shown himself to be a bully in my eyes much earlier with his psychological bullying of Jade late one night trying to get Adele's secret out of her. In how he's been with Jade, he's tried to tell her so many times that he's a cad and a bounder and she shouldn't see anything in the house as serious. Spencer and his smells - he's been stuck wearing the same clothes for over a week because of the circumstances, he's showered often, and doesn't seem to do much different than the rest in terms of personal grooming, and yet he's the butt of constant snipes (from Alex in particular) about his hygine...is it any wonder that he snipes back about something Alex is sensitive about in his noteable lack of masculinity? Alex has shown himself unwilling to make a sacrifice himself for the greater good of the group by opting to live on the rich side himself and he's proved to be a coward in not fronting PJ and Spencer with his true reasons for not choosing them for the rich side. PJ knows he should have contained his feelings better, and he's tried hard to appologise for it which shows someone willing to work on personal relationships (at least in the house) - rather than Alex turning his back on everyone in week 2 because it was too hard. Spencer had a brief outburst which was mostly because of the prospect of another week without smokes - and anyone who's quit smoking will understand that! Adele has since spent the whole time trying to make personal ground by adding oil to troubled waters, and it looks like it's working too. Anyone who wasn't in there to try and win and who was interested in really getting on with people and having a nice atmosphere in the house would have been trying to mediate between the two sides instead as some of the others have. Jade just loves the drama and muck raking so it's no surprise that she runs from one side to the other with "you'll never guess what they just said about you..." comments, but I find it anoying that she then gets angry when found out for having distorted what in this case PJ had said...if only by change of emphasis rather than wording. Overall, given the extreme nature of what the housemates are going through, is it any wonder that they're pushed into the odd outburst? Hardly reason to hate someone is it? Surely the constant subtle digging by Adele is much worse as it's not done in the heat of the moment but seems to be pre-meditated? And I fail to understand how Alex is suddenly a hero just because he's anoyed someone else? Yes, he was doing well on the poor side, but his decisions and actions seem to show a distinct lack of backbone to me making him weaker in my eyes. |

Absolutely repulsive behaviour from both of them. I liked Spencer and was indifferent to PJ, but after listening to the pair of them last night, I despise both of them. Homophobic, arrogant, selfish gits.

Are you psychic?! you voiced my own thoughts very succinctly!...
Alex and Adele should be congratulated though, they both obviously have a similar game plan, which appears to be working (at the moment!, although I suspect the newby will put a spoke in Alex's wheels)...if the people in the poor side have any sense, they'll go with gut feelings and nominate Adele this week. She, being by far the cleverer of the bunch, and, if I may say, the most devious, is too much of a danger to have around the house...and as for her attitude, any one noticed how condescending she is to everyone? she has jade running around feeding her strawberries this morning, and Sophie sucking up to her, eating out of her hand practically!.... ps My money is on Johnny to win, provided Adele goes... he's noticed far more than he's letting on to people and very wisely chooses to keep quite and play his cards close to his chest...shame he didn't win last nights task...... |

Let's face it...
You've got to be a bit of a tosser to want to go on BB in the first place and Spence and PJ are young blokes who a) think with their dicks and b)think with their bellies. 90% of blokes would haven't had any 'love action' for a while would take advantage if it was offered on a plate.
Alex has got to win. God bless 'im. |

That PJ is from Birmingham makes me shudder. The guy never stops bleating about what a stud he is and how he wants his home comforts and how he's been hard done by and yaddah, yaddah... just WALK PJ and you will have all that you appear to want in life!

However ...........in talking to PJ last night he did say - in case you didn't see it - that there were plenty of times he held back his opinions and played 'Mr. Nice Guy' but he would now be more upfront and speak out. |

....Jade...
..just my thoughts on the Jade/PJ thing.....
I have to say here that I can't sympathise with jade for PJ's behaviour to her over the last few days.....Her attitude to the men in the house had me cringing right from the start.....within the first few hours she'd made a play towards all of them, and slowly realised over the time she'd been there, that they just weren't interested in the way she was throwing herself at them all....every time any of the boys showed an interest in Kate or Adele, or even in chatting to Alison, jade would be there, touching, hugging being right in their faces.ugh!....I find it hard to blame PJ...after all, there comes a time, when a bloke is offered something over and over, that he 'ain't going to say no'....She needs to grow up, develop a little self respect, and then she'll find she gets the attention from the right type of bloke....call it a learning curve if you like...but in my book, if you behave like a tart, you get treated like a tart....and Jade would be the first person to say it like it is.... |

Re: negative reactions ....

[b]PJ in particular reacted appaulingly ... I also think that Jonny's fears that the rich side will poison the new HM against him further reveals his negative attitude and think that he actually has a self esteem issue ... Think so too. My only problem with Jonny is that he suffers from Alison's disease of trying way too hard. He's far too concerned with what everyone thinks of him; he can't seem to handle the idea that not every person in the world might not like him. In some ways I could see him winning because he's generally pretty inoffensive and he doesn't backbite too much, but I think self belief is a requisite for a BB winner, which is why I'm thinking Alex may surprise us all. He's really bloomed since winning the task and shown leadership qualities, but that's another thread. |
