Im a big fan of lisa's in hollyoaks, shes one of the better female characters. But im sure she could pull off better storylines than still being all teeny, you would think she would mature more by now espically after all what shes been through.
Ben and Lisa are no Debbie and Dan. |

i too really like lisa and ben in the show, and gemma is a good actress when she is given the chance, for instance when they had the self harming storylines a few years ago she was fantastic,
it shows when she has been given strong storylines which are well written gemma can be great, lets hope the script writers can come up with something good |

Sorry but I find Lisa (as a character) far too tarty! She never seems to have any morals on the show! I don't think I will be watching let loose if it just about kinky sex! Not exactly stimulating tv, intellectually that is!

i dont think it will be that bad, as i cant see them making 15 hours without some propar storyline, plus it is not on as late as the "late night eps" where the story lines are more raunchy |

2 new versions of Hollyoaks ? Redmond didn't even want to go to 5 nights a week not so long ago. And they can't make the original series good for more than a couple of months a year. The whole thing is gonna collapse.

Let me get this straight...they are taking two of the most boring characters that no-one cares about anymore, who are WAY past their best story lines, and give them and spin off series?
I can hardly wait. A series of Lisa looking like a smacked puppy and Ben looking vacant. Riveting

I love Lisa and Ben. There is something quite innocent about Lisa but I do feel that the scriptwriters have made her character more moody and selfish than she needs to be.
But she is a strong character and like Debbie and Dan, I think that her and Ben are perfect for a spin off. Am really looking forward to it. It is obvious that there are some ppl who don't like or care about Ben & Lisa but they do have their fan base as well. |

I'm looking forward to this already. ![]() I really don't see what people find so wonderful about Ben and Lisa as a couple. To me they are on a level in the crapness stakes with the dreadful "Shannis". I agree with others Lisa has changed and it isn't for the better. It's funny but she was at one point on of the most popular and well liked characters, but now a lot of people can't stand her and just want her to leave. I've found the whole "tarty Lisa" thing just so boring and predictable. What really makes me want to tear my hair out though is the constant moaning and whining I thought Callum made a good point when he commented on how Ben had changed since he had been with Lisa. It's like now he's as moody as her all the time and their relationship consists of her throwing a tantrum and Ben having to grovel to her. BORING! Ben always used to be such a fun and laid back character and now he's a miserable git. God I hope both Ben and Lisa leave permenantly after this spin off. On another note I think the Ali/Macki storyline has been quite good, but I would have liked to have seen the climax done as a spin off episode, so they could have really pushed the boundaries. Oh and one more thing. Ages ago there was a rumour that Hollyoaks would go off the air whilst the spin off was on (the revamp) Does anyone know if this is still the case, or was it only ever a rumour? |

It is obvious that there are some ppl who don't like or care about Ben & Lisa but they do have their fan base as well. i agree, but i suppose the script writers changing her character is to make it more realistic, as nobody stays the same as they grow up, from what i have read i also think they are using her relationship with ben, to show her settle down more, and to be honest if this was reality, which it is not, then someone who went through as much as she has would probably be the same - the self harm, her sisters dissapearance, her brother going to prison, her parents splitting breifly, her brothers death, her dads drink problem etc.. as for the comments about lisa changing ben, i dont think that it is all down to lisa, the accident had a lot to do with it as well - ie wanting to see arthur, the panic about the job etc it is making him evaluate his life more i think if the writers do it right, the relationship could be written in a way that was good for both characters and i am looking forward to seeing how the spin off works |

The reason why Ben has changed is because he is now with Lisa and sometimes Lisa winds him off, but Ben is a very sensible character, who is caring as well, but when he is shown hooked up with someone moody like Lisa it will seem like as if it is his fault. The reason why Ben was moody that day he first went back to work after the fire was because of Ben lying to Lisa that he was not going to be Jake's Best man, and then Callum kept pushing him to say it. Ben had no choice, for Jake has been his mate for long and Becca as well, for Jake and Becca didn't want anyone else to be their Best Man on the wedding besides him, so the problem as well was that Becca said that she didn't want Lisa to come to her wedding, which also really made Ben really worried, for it was tough for him to decide whether to go to the wedding or not. Ben is the best character in Hollyoaks, for they give him a round part which he can handle well. He is a very matured person, if you really watch him, and he can handle relationships as well, even though before he was acting as a womaniser. Ben and Lisa will be interesting to watch on the spin-off, Hollyoaks chose the right characters for this spin-off. Ben and Lisa jknow each other very well for they have been friends ever since Dan died and Lisa was being a nurse to Ben when he was discharged from the Hospital after the fire injury. Ben is the best ever in Hollyoaks. He is like a counsellor in Hollyoaks as well for he likes helping other people with advice for their lives to go well, he is not jealous. Ben and Lisa good couple. In a relationship they are ups and downs, they will make it.

I really think that Ben and Lisa are a good couple and it will be a very big lose when they are gone, for I really enjoy watching them, for I really learn something from them as well. I really like the way Ben acts fro he is a very matured, caring lad, and he is very much laid back, he understands a partner's problems. |
