My cousin's experience at the audition
You may be interested to hear about this. My cousin went for an audition for the X-Factor, and had to sing in front of a "pre-panel", and was rejected without ever seeing Simon, Louis and Sharon.
Now she sings in a band, and has done loads of gigs - I am not saying she would necessarily have done well in the competition, but the fact that a bunch of talentles idiots (like the chicken-man) get through does make a mockery of the whole thing. Obviously they are selected for comedy value. It sort of spoils the whole thing for me to know that it is all so "managed". |

If you think about it, they are loads of people who want to be on the X Factor, Simon, Louis and Sharon dont have enough time to see everyone. |

Presumably the pre-panel must have some experience though?

It's no big secret that contestants have to get past the producers first.

The pre-panel are either producers of the show or big in BMG.
You need to get through that and usually another 2 before you see the Judges. |

it seems a bit mean to put these people through based on comedy value when they think they are doing well cos they got through the producers and people.
i really did not know that they did that. |
