Transfering contacts???

I am going to get the Sony Ericsson K750i next week and was wondering what the easiest way is to transfer my phone numbers/contacts from the LG 8120 which is on three to the Sony Ericsson K750i.

Thanks.

Do you have PC connectors for the LG phone? Chances are if you sync up the contacts between the LG and the PC they'll use VCF format which can then be imported directly into the Sony Ericsson - although I'd do that using Floats Mobile Agent rather than the SE software

The only thing you might need to do (depends on how the LG formats the phone) is restructure the VCF format slightly. I was moving everything from my SE phone into a Motorola and had to swap the first and last names around to get them all in the right order

I managed to get my contacts to a CSV file.

This might be helpful then - a tool to convert CSV to VCF files. Float will let you do a bulk VCF import to rag all contacts onto your new SE in one go.

This tool only works on linux / Unix based systems.

Any other ideas

Looked around and found this online page:
http://homepage.mac.com/phrogz/CSV2vCard_2.html
This let me transfer my CSV to VCF (even on my restricted work computer) and using bluetooth "send" from my laptop the K750 was ready to accept and add the contacts!
I have to admit my forst effort had a lot of " I had to remove to make everything work, and being Norwegian I have contacts with "odd" letters, but after importing these were dead easy to edit away.
Felt good to finally have all contacts back, even phoned up a few I hadn't spoken to for some time
