Faulty settings from O2 (merged)
sazzy
20-08-2005
I activated one of my O2 genie sims last week, as I have been sending far too many texts , and whilst I was recieving all the normal settings that you do at activation, I also recieved a "corrupt" text message, that could only have come from O2. Several hours later I find that my phone software freezes completely, but only with genie sims, all other sims including the normal O2 type, have no freezing effect whatsoever.

Several hours of arguing later , an O2 shop agree to send my k700 away to be flashed with new software free of charge, but refuse to admit that it is O2's fault, even though a very nice man at SE customer services admitted that it cannot have been a typical software error, and that the text from O2 must have been the cause of the problem.

Does anyone have any clue to what happened, as no one at O2's technical deptartment seem to be able to explain.

If i quote myself, is that the same as talking to myself?

Anyway, i went to pick the bleedin' phone up, and after O2 having it for two weeks, and me driving 20 miles to pick it up and give them back the nasty 3410 loan phone, they go and tell me the phone wasn't actually repaired at all

NOT, the sort of thing they want to be telling a mad woman, just off a 12 hour night shift!

Anyway they have sent it away again, but there is now an argument to who sent the corrupt sim, so, if anyone has any ideas, let me know

And next week on "o2 take the piss...................."

If so, please can you have a look at the thread titled "Faulty settings from O2" which is currently in the middle of page 3, Im desperatly looking for some answers, to use in an ongoing complaint with O2, but I need to make sure that the problem lies with them before i go into the store again.

I need to make sure that when I turn into the the customer from hell, I have some facts to back me up

Thank you , there is a cyber kissy for anyone who can help

when my d500 broke " known manufacturing fault as advised by o2 cs" i got it back in a week, my problem is now that they charged me on the insurance and were now in dispute as i got same phone back. How can they charge me insurance excess on a broken phone i had for only 6 weeks but apart from that ive been on contract now with them for over 18 months and had no problems previously

Ive been in contact with customer services now, and have found out that the hanset was not even sent away till last week, and therefore am fuming that they have been lying to me for a month

However I am still trying to find out what may have cause this fault, was it O2's Fault or not

Please guys, if you have any ideas let me know as this has now been passed to the area operations manager and I need some facts before they call me back
