Was fairly impressed with the service when I started using one of those PAYG Online sims, now it is really annoying me

Topped up £10 today, still not getting free texts

Having to send texts twice as they are failing

Something tells me the CS department are gonna get an angry phone call soon

Myself and all of my family use these sim cards. We have never had any problems.
I think if you take time and read the paperwork that comes with it youl find it can take up to 48 hours for your texts to be active.
Hope this helps.

Or don't send any text messages until they've been credited to the account?

The point is that you should have read the terms and conditions of the contract before joining – do not take this the wrong way, it is in your own interests to do so.

Remember these days that Customer Services are open nearly all the time now.

For example, my father just called Three Customer Services and got through quickly and they solved his problem. o2 are a little more limited though: "Our phone service is open between the hours of 7am and 10pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 8pm Saturday and Sunday"

Still open on a Sunday for you to speak to them then.

As Farscape says, the time taken to re-credit the text messages is clearly indicated in all documentation. Therefore, if you don't agree, you have no right to be complaining

It said on my sim packet that the 300 texts are allocated 24hrs after top up. I was about 26 hours with no freebies. I ended up phoning O2 and they said sorry about that and switched it on there and then. This was my first time of using this sim so will be mroe aware next top up.

Last night I sent text fine but it tane over 10mins to arrive at the other end and they got the same text twice within a few mins of each other. I use the 02 delivery report *0# and have done for months. This morning just a short time ago it tane me two tries to send a text like it did near the begining of the week. Its starting to get annoying once in a while. Why has 02 started going down hill.

Darren

Phoned up CS today (on an 0161 number as opposed to the 0870 one ) and they credited my account with 300 texts.

Still doesnt explain why I didnt get em in the first place

Notice O2 is always popping up as a subject in this forum, mainly problems, (O2 suck, O2 3g, Tmobile buys O2, O2 registration) perhaps we should realise O2 isnt the best network to be on!

what i cant understand is if people dont like something, they start a huge group and get other people to join who dont like the same thing. it just gets old so enough with the "O2 bashing" it's here to stay, just like Three (i know they've had problems but they're here to stay too) so cut it out!

Well i had not used the for a while, so ported in a couple of weeks ago, see how things are going, and since i ported in there network has failed on me twice. Not being able to make calls / text for about half an hour the first time, then it was being a pain for about three hours the second time. I've called and got a port out happening on friday.

I'm hopping over to Orange, it is not exactly cheap, but it makes sense, Orange obviously upgrade and look after there network. I've never once had a text say fail, or call say error when being on Orange.

You get what you pay for.

i cant leave O2 anyway for reasons such as: most people i know are on it and i use my phone a lot so i need the free calls and texts, had Orange been doing that offer or a very similar one, i'd be on them.

If I were in charge of o2 I'd do the following:

1) Organise somebody to visit every customer to apologise for running such a pants service

2) Sell it to the yanks

I love the fact i 'have' free calls, but its no good speaking to a three tone error signal.

I also have many other numbers diverted to my mobile, its not helpful when callers are told my number is not recognised!
