I'm using a nokia (see services) and by experience, they seem to be the best signal. My phone used to be on orange before i had it, but it got unlocked...

I take it you haven't tried Vodafone then.

O2 is rubbish,it always has been, always will be.

That's normal. The online Sims have rules to the 300 free texts - you have to top up £10 on the same date every month or you may have to wait up to 72 hours for the free texts to be returned.

Read your terms and conditions next time

Couldnt find anything of that description in the T+Cs, but if that happens again I'll just phone em up and get the texts credited anyway

I wonder when they'll start offering x number of minutes of a doctors time with phone bundles?

How about 300 text messages, 100 minutes of talktime and 10 minutes of doctors time credited each month to help with your fried brain after excessive use of the cell phone or assisted pain relief for those arthitic fingers when you get older after typing several hundred text messages each month?

top up £15 & you will receive 150mins off peak mins to any network free + you get your 300 texts + you still have your £15

That is why they give away loads of sims, have you seen ebay recently, absolutely swamped, you couldn,t give em away.

I have stopped sending for them.

I know, it's awfully annoying... would not be so bad if they had easy status reports for texts.. So you know if they do get there.

by this time next Friday, i'll be a Vodafone, T-Mobile or Orange customer and i wont be on O2 anymore

which should i go for out of T-Mobile, Orange & Vodafone?

and if i want to join Orange, since my 6600 has been used on an Orange contract by a mate of mine (i bought it off him), would that effect me if i gave them the IMEI for it as its already registered in his name? (but he has a D500 on O2 contract now, the IMEI is written in the book for the 6600 but if it was contract, it would have been cancelled with Orange, in which case... The IMEI of the 6600 shouldn't be in anyone's name)

Ben - what is the longest you've ever stayed on the one network?

I did the same thing when O2 'lost' my mobile number, I went back to voda because I was with them for 4 years without a problem on contract (went the PAYG route on O2 and Virgin about 6 months ago)

I have no regrets about moving back, the network is really reliable, I get coverage & delivery reports and my voicemail is emailed to me. Its a great service. For me it works out about £2 a month more expensive than O2 did, but its definately worth it.

As you were an O2 customer, you will be used to the lower sound/call quality of the 900MHz networks, if you want phone calls to sound clear and as if from a good landline then a 1800MHz network like T-Mobile or Orange is the one to go for.

From a landline or 1800MHz phone you can always tell whether the person you are talking to is using a 1800MHz network or 900MHz network.
