One woman contestant had mad, staring eyes and gave me the creeps! There were some odd sorts on the X Factor tonight!

I have to admit, that was a bit of a Peter Kay moment, but I think the family really just wanted her to go through, none of them were aggressive or nasty, and she wasn't terrible - she's taken a real slating on this forum tonight and I feel bad for her!

I'm sure she has LOTS to live for, though

The comments on

seem to be quite positive towards her. The family have been getting the worst of the comments

Absolutely, oh to be 19 again!

I sat next to her at the Manchester auditions she wasa really nice young lady and her family were very pleasant too.Her mother couldnt seem to grasp i was a bloke in drag though.I think with her getting through all the previous rounds they probably thought she would sail through.I think she had a nice voice and sang with feeling. With a complete make over she would look great[look at pics of before and after fame of a lot of famous actress and singers]I would certainly have her on my show.

Her family really didn't do her any favours IMO when they went back in to the judges begging but who knows how any of us would feel in the same position if it were one of own having their hopes dashed on national tv. The thing is, as has been said before, she already got through a good deal of the selection process so she probably had high hopes, I hope she gets some voice coaching and doesn't give up.

Personally I didnt think her voice was that bad...she was horrendously nervous which must have affected her performance significantly.

Ok her image was absolutely ridiculous i agree but that can easily be sorted out so the judges should have seen through that and judged her purely on her voice and not just written her off before she even sang!

Lets face it, sharon and Louis put worse singers than her through to the next round. One thing you have to admire in the girl is her passion...shes only 19 for Gods sake and who can say that with the right coaching and advice she couldnt make it! I saw a glimmer there but maybe thats just me...I think people are being too harsh on her and making very unfair assumptions.

I agree that her families reaction was a bit ott but to be fair to the girl she seemed to be telling them to leave it. I think she realized that she hadnt done her best audition.

I`d say to her if she really wants it then keep going...never give in because if its a true dream then she can make it happen in time.

This programme, at this stage, has nothing to do with searching out talent. The programme is all about entertainment, whether that be through seeing someone sing well or seeing someone being made a fool of. She did not get through to the main judges because she was good, it was because the researchers would have seen her with her family and fiancé and thought "These will make good telly!" That is what the programme is all about.

I hope she doesn't get voice coaching, does give up, and settles down to something that she really is good at. I'd love to be a supermodel, but sadly nature hasn't given me the equipment (or perhaps too much of it!!). Very few people who actually can sing quite well make a career out of it, never mind those who really aren't that good.

Yup and they would probably have been egging on the family listening at the door too.

It would be interesting to hear the families take on what happened - I suspect much of the melodrama was created by the production crew. The selection shows used to be fun but they are now becoming very formulaeic.

Aww she wasn't that bad, no great voice, true but then again listen to some of drivel in the charts nowdays, very few lead singers can actually sing we just thank god they have the back up of good musicians.
It's clearly her dream and I don't think anyone should give up on their dreams, even you
