big brother cameraman. trapped in a no doubt uncomfortable corridor, having to listen to this lot for an entire shift, and having to focus on their faces

At least the cameramen can quit if it was really that bad. I feel sorry for the chickens. Having to listen to the constant moaning and droaning conversations. At least they dont have to suffer watching Sandy walk round the pool every morning again and again and again..........poor things.

Under union rules, cameramen can only operate a camera for 20 minute stints.

bloody hell! so they can only do stints btwn one set of agverts then in effect! what's the reasoning for that? 20 mins seems unreasonably short, although must be great for tea breaks.

Jack, I will tolerate jokes at my expense, but there is no need to make your jokes on threads where I have made no previous contribution and so may not see it to make my reply. Such posting by you may be construed as disrespectful and in breach of the T&C for this forum.

Please answer drama_girly's question.

This is exactly what I meant by my (admittedly flippant) comment. You storm into a forum, make a completely unsubstantiated remark, and then end up in a flame war with people who are only trying to understand what you meant.

So please justify your comments: which union?

I don't make the union rules and I won't be made to account for them. None of this excuses your post about me on a thread where I haven't previously posted.

There was nothing inflamatory about my cameraman post. It was informative.

What Jack said.

If the comment he made is against the T&C of the forum, then some of the comments you have made have been well out of them.

Which union? Where do you get your information from?

Again, I repeat, back up your comments.

You haven't substantiated your post about the cameramen, you haven't told us where you get your information. Nobody is questioning the union rules, we're questioning where you got the information from.

Can you simply answer the question : which union are you referring to? There are more than one.

It was and very surprising. Knew of time restrictions in other jobs, esp wrt driving.

Be interested to know if any others know why it's that short. Perhaps it's cos no-one would want to film them for more than 20 mins! j/k

Why don't you show me where I have broken the T&C ?

Are you disputing my comments about union rules ?

One particular strict implementaion of those rules is during a snooker match, where the cameramen wear slippers because they have to change over during a frame. For clarity, the rules are not dictating working hours, they are restricting working stints at the camera.

I wasn't going to...

But - until you can tell everyone where your information came from, or post a source of information, I will do.

By the way, you're fond of telling people to re-read your posts. Take your own advice and read the posts I made in this thread. I never questioned your information, but asked you where you got the information from. That is not questioning or disputing, merely making an enquiry.

I feel I have said enough. I don't intend to qualify every post I make to you. Do you see yourself as some kind of vigilante ? I feel you should continue to make your own posts and stop following me around attempting to discredit every post I make.

Oh come on Leanne, stop being so bloody touchy about every little thing... a simple question was asked of you as you're the only person who's waded in with some 'technical background' info (my words, not yours) and I and others would like to know where this info comes from as people are inquisitive and like to read stuff like this.

So, in nice plain English, which Union are we talking about here?

haha! in their slippers . If there are regular cameramen, I wonder how friendly, if at all, they become with the HMs.
