You know what, I was listening to I Am, I Feel today and it is still really good, I really love that song, it should have been number 1!

Did you know surpisingly that none of Alisha's Attic's singles were ever top ten hits. Alot were top twenty hits, this is surprising considering that some of their singles were really popular and in my opinion are classics, such as I Am I Feel and The Incidentals.

Anyone know when Shellie Poole's album is released?

for more information on alisha's attic visit:

http://www.inspiracy.com/alisha/

shelly [red hair/ now blonde] is releasing a solo album in the next 2 weeks, called hard time for the dreamer.

karen has written for a load of good bands which have got number 1's or around there. chocolate - kylie. lola's theme.
sugababes. check it out for more inof and downloads of rare songs because if you ahve got alisha rules the world, illumina, house we built and the collection. then you are missing the vaults, b-sides, japanese specials.”

Well I bought the collection and it does'nt disappoint, particularly like the accoustic version of Indestructible. I love this group! Can't wait to hear Shellie's album.

Anyone recommend Shellie's album? Is similar to any of Alisha's Attic's music?

A gay man once tried to convince me I was gay because I liked an Alisha's Attic song.

Ooooh! I'm so glad I'm found this thread, or rather it found me as I was just browsing and it popped out at me

I was putting songs on my mp3 player the other day and came accross this album, and had a listen! I'm SO glad I did, I can't believe I forgot how good the album was!

I never realised Karen wrote all those songs eithers, it's really bad but most of the time I don't think about who writes songs, I either like them or I don't!

When I buy an album, I do have a quick flick through to see if the artist wrote the song or not though, does anyone else do that?

Yeah I do all the time

They are quite talented sisters these two - were they big in America does anyone know?

I don't know how popular they were in America but one of their songs "Intense" was used in the Starship Troopers film

My god I used to worship these girls! I still have all three albums on the old mp3 player as well as about twenty b-sides

loved them and yes I go through sleevenotes as well to find out the songwriter. In fact I sometimes check out who the backing singers are (dont ask me why) but I once checked out a Celine Dion CD only to find out that on one song Maria Vidal did backing vocals... remember "Body Rock"??

My favourite part is in the middle:

"Well its hard to get to you when you're knocking on wood and I got to feeling I was worth more than he put on my boots
I got a soul when you get down to the roots
oh oh oh oh oh yeah
"

I love the oh oh oh oh oh yeah bit it just sounds so cool especially when it comes in at the end over the chorus as it plays out.

That's what I loved about Alisha's Attic, their voices blended perfectly and they sounded unique - they were great!!!

I was never a fan of Alisha's Attic but I did love one of their tracks - I really liked (and still do!) "Pretender Got My Heart". That is one superb song.

Their first album is one of those rare albums that contains not a single bad track. Still listen to it often.

Push It All Aside is one of the best songs/videos I have seen... the song is brilliant, and the video is so so good. Love this band.
