I saw Shelley Poole in concert last night. She was one of the support acts for Darren Hayes. I'd never heard of her before but boy can she hold a tune! She has a beautiful voice and some of the songs were very good. It reminded me a little of Katie Melua except without the guitar!
I'll probably get the album, she really was very good.

All the past Aa albums are still available and i would strongly recomend buying them. Aa was a seriously underestemated colaboration of the two sisters of who Shelly is now embarked on a sucsesfull solo career, As for Karen , weather you know it or not you cant escape her writing as she has written and co written many popular songs that you wil no doubt know.
If you want more info go to www.shellypoole.com .
Alternatively mail me for more contact details and i will be ony too pleased to help.
Oh and by the way Shelly and Karen are probably the nicest people I have ever met ”

You've met them, that's great!

I have all their albums except The Attic Vaults which I think you can only buy from the Alisha's Attic website, I'm not sure.

Oh yes Shelly and Karen are gerogeous and so nice, not at all starry.

If you go to Shellys site and look about there are video's from most of her gigs. The last one being from last Monday at Pizza on the park.
Of all the Artist I have ever seen there are only a few with what I call a pure live voice. They are Karen Carpenter, Paul Carrack,Pat Kane and Shelly. The clarity of her voice singing live puts the hairs on the back of your neck on end.
PS if you want to get the Vaults album look on ebay (seller Sodhall) Shellys mum she will be able to steer you in the right direction

Shelly is the vocalist on the Very popular Boarderline by Michael Gray, Wogan is also playing her track lost in you all the time AND she is the support on the Will Young tour.

Not bad going!

Has Karen written any more good tunes lately - she seems to write alot of successful ones like Shapeshifters, Rachael Stevens, Kylie.......

Shelly's song Borderline with Michael Gray (I think that's his name) is #12 in the charts, boy that seems to be the number that most Alisha's Attic songs stuck at!

Alisha's Attic were probably the MOST annoying band of the 90's.

How come?

I actually really like dthem, they wrote some brilliant songs in their time! I liked their quirkiness too!

Shelly's new song Borderline is brilliant too!

Anyone else like it? I think it's one of the best songs out at the moment!

I like it a lot - excellent video like Michael Gray's previous effort

I was an Aa fan in my teens (loved them) and saw Shelly last year play at Ginglik (recently shown on The Performance Channel)... she was fab! On the same evening, Nerina Pallot and Polly Paulusma was also on the bill, both awesome

#12... lol, that's exactly what I thought when i saw where "Borderline" charted!

I Am I Feel seems to be the track everyone remembers and associated the most with Alisha's Attic!

Yes how freaky was it that borderline went in at #12, it seems to be the Alisha's Attic number! lol

...things that I wonder, number 97:

Are Alisha's Attic and Martika's Kitchen under the same roof?

I've just had a look at the album release schedule and saw this,
Quote:
“Shelley Poole - In Gold”

no date though, just in the coming soon.

It's such a shame they were over-shadowed by artists like The Spice Girls, because AA's music had more of an edge without taking themselves too seriously. I have their first album

Love, love, love Alisha's Attic. I have all their albums including the Attic Vaults, but I'm afraid to say I've barely listened to them. I need to dig them out again. They had some fantastic singles and I can't believe they never charted in the top 10. One of my favourites is "I Wish I Were You".
