it does seem feasible about there being an upper level, from the outside the house is very high, with a lot of "unused" space.

maybe the upper level will be used as an alternative to the crappy bars.

The article may have been referring to the front door.

Are you sure there is nothing underneith the house? I occurs to me that there are more stairs up to the front door, than down into the house.

A 'love basement' doesn't have quite the same ring to it as a 'love loft'

good point, but as the back yard is straight on the back of the living room, it could be that the house is built on a hill.

I thought about an upstairs, but came to the conclusion that the living room has a very high ceiling - the same height as the top of the stairs ceiling. Hence the building looks tall from the outside. It could be there are rooms above the bedrooms though.

When Sunita left, I think she walked out along a flat path?

I can't remember if it was on BBLB or on an eviction show but I remember seeing steps from the back door in the wall to the door where sunita came out...

the house was designed by Escher. Case closed

that there are seemingly more steps on the outside of the house leading to the front door than there are on the inside of the house from the front door to the floor

The ones outside are shallower steel stairs that also turn corners, whereas the ones inside are deeper.

I guess the floor inside is also a little higher than ground level outside as well.

Also I don't think the ceiling isn't the same level all the way through, I could be wrong though.
