I saw this online today.

X Factor Rejects in the recording studio.

Yep, you better believe, a group of ‘rejects’ from this years’s X Factor auditions have got together to record their own song. It’s all happening tomorrow 9th July 2005 at Scream Studios, South Croydon. I tell ya, it’s got to be seen and heard to believe it.

It’s all the brainchild of Debbie Ethalion, who is no newcomer either to the world of music or the X Factor auditons. She even appeared in the ads for last year’s X Factor show. During her auditon for last years X Factor Simon Cowell told her she looked like a 50 year old Shirley Temple. Not nice at all, but then that’s why we call him Mr Nasty. The real kick in the guts though must have been knowing that the put down would be broadcast to millions on television, now that’s gotta hurt. Sharon Osbourne in turn gave her a backhanded compliment and told her she had a good voice which needed training, but warned that it could be too late for the 39 year old. This comment was not received too well by Debs because the X Factor is pitched as a competition with no age limit.

Obviously she hasn’t got through again this year, I wonder what Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne said to her this time. Let’s hope we get to see Deb in action again in one of the early episodes of this years X Factor. Other acts featuring on the The Fabulous X Factor Rejects collaboration are Two Fat Ladies from Nottingham, and there’s Kerry Shiel, who apparently is an FHM magazine honey too.

The Hit Me Rejects Song has already had its debut on ITV on the 1/7/05
Deb & 3 other FAB X REJECT’S performed it. At the open London auditions, in front of the ITN News.
This project is for fun and so the FXR are actively seeking to promote this recording and try and get a chance to even perform on the X Factor live show.

Hopefully I’ll be able to post a link to the final version of The Hit Me X Factor Rejects Song soon.

Oh I dont know I admire their guts.
Many of those turned away from the whole experience are actually really good singers(many NOT all).
They just dont fit the "slot"the judges are trying to fit on the given day that they audition for many reasons.
Sometimes yes they are not going to make the grade..
other times perhaps they already have their quota of the age group, looks and music style that they fit into.
It doesnt always mean they cant sing..many many that I saw turned away were actually outstanding singers..but not what they were looking for.
