Just who is watching who, I was so upset last night after seeing BB on channel 4. why? you are asking yourself's. Because, it is so contrived. we are all led to believe what they want us to believe. we as viewers are being so manipulated, as much as them in the house. i am being to think it is an insult to our intelligence.they want us to believe that Spencer is the anti hero we all want to worship. But at the end of the day he is just a very unclean person, with sex appeal. It is just the more we watch, the more it is becoming BIG BROTHER., and BB is always watching. I am i the only one who can see this. Please tell me I am not alone.

mazzy you gorgeous sexy person, you are SOO not alone.
when I frequented the C4 BB forums (please don't tell the tabloids: I was young, I needed the money...) there was a little group of us, Me, Spannerman, Phil McQ-T that I can think of straightaway, who were convinced that
a) there was a script (of sorts)
b) we, the viewers, were being "guided" in our opinions.

I have seen nothing to make me doubt either of these beliefs.

I say somewhere else that it wouldn't surprise me if WE were the contestants and the HMs were watching us, or at least c4 was watching us.

Big brother really IS watching, more than you think.
Can we say "RIP Act 2000" anyone?

Anyway, mazza, darling, don't get upset. Just enjoy the fact that for a few weeks we get to make totally uniformed and jugdmental comments on a group of people without their being able to smack us in the gob!!!!

God I'm drunk: you've no idea how long it just took me to type this!!!!

You've obviously never seen me !!! (can we say "mr potato head"?)
The RIP Act 2000 is a law that basically allows every tom dick and harry governement department to pry into our emails, phonecalls, web sites visited and so on. It's an evil piece of Labour party legislation that no right-minded individual could support.
Basically its a huge infringement of our civil rights....

Anyhoo,
you didn't answer my question about spencer, darling.

Okay, so what's your excuse for taking ages to type an answer?

And why are you up so late?

love and hugs

I knew there had to be some reason I'm still watching BB3...

...I actually think I'm resisting being too judgemental about the housemates most of the time, but it's interesting that even when being careful, human nature seems to be a strong drive to just make a decision on someone and stick to it...we're naturally lazy when trying to figure other people out I think....

er, yes, I think all the other boys and girls would get even MORE bored by me if I started on that one....

Your typing seems fine, keep at it.

While you're typing that: ANSWER my question about Spencer, please darling.
I'm a little confused about how you feel about him.

Hell, the RIP act tears up so many other laws UK/Euro that it's basically carte blanche for governements to sneak into your home, plant evidence on your computer, charge you with it and deny you the right to tell anyone what they've done...if you choose to interpret it in its worst way...innocent till proven guilty doesn't even get a look in so forget the DP act!...Scary act that should have caused much more civil unrest than the poll tax, but somehow never quite got the public going as the gov could always argue "if you don't break the law what have you got to worry about, this is just so we can protect all you good people from the terrorists and drug dealers - honest"....

We DO just make an opionion, then we feel almost forced to stick to it. Which does explain some people's apparent love of, say, spencer, IN SPITE of the facts!!!

Oh yes, humans are very lazy: we make judgements aboit ANYTHING (not just people) on a surprisiungly small amount of information. I could go on, but I wont'
youre very perceptive: any special training?

I think HM govt, bless em, have done a wonderful job in sneaking this through. many people don't seem to know it even exists (you're unusally astute and with-it, fan) . Not many people people are aware of the (almost as bad IMHO) Compulsory Voting Bill, due for its second reading 21st June. Badstarts the lot of em!!

In my case,
Special training = life + brain

(plus an interest in psychology on a very amature level since school...I actually toyed with a career in advertising until I decided it was more immoral than prostitution)

I think Spencer is a very sexy guy, and after his singing yesterday I am sure he is a sex god. But I still would not want to have sex with him, because he never has a wash. Maybe some people are into this, But not me. hugs. Fan-at-ic, thanks for your support

What?? I've not heard of the Compulsory Voting Bill? Any links I can look up on it? Just the title sounds scary in this case! I think that's why the RIP got past unnoticed by most as it sounds such a good thing "Regulation of Investigatory Powers"...and what it is instead is exactly the opposite...how devious is that?

...as an ex-Greenpeace campaigner (my job now means I can't take the risk of arrest and I've just lost touch with being active), and looking into the RIP from the IT perspective of public key encryption disclosure etc I did get to know a bit about it before it got though, and was increasingly alarmed when no one seemed to be screaming to stop it....but then, it's a democracy and if people choose to sleep though it then sometimes you have to put up with the snooring huh?

Do you mind if i ask you a personal question?

DId you used to post on the C4 forum as AW Mob?

If it WAS you could you please tell me what the nickname stood for? Hope I havent offended you....

I think C4 should be ashamed of the way they run that forum (or rather dont run it) its a complete unprofesional shambles theres no excuse for it.

Rant over.....

Hmmmm... never heard of it either. But I do know that it would have much wider implications than simply having to vote, like having to be compulsorily registered at an address, which seems simple enough, but a lot of folks surprisingly or not do not register, even tho' they should, but no one checks.... after all, it's still your choice to vote or not. Interesting stuff....

Don;t worry about it.

The Compusory Voting Bill is a Private Members Bill. It's Second reading has already been put off at least twice. It has no chance of becoming law.
