I can't figure out why that in Digital Spy's BB poll that Alex got the most votes as the favourite housemate.

Is there something I'm missing here?

Do people find smug, camp, annoying people like Alex to be popular all of a sudden?

I think the word "favourite" is the key, young shootthe, he's hardly got alot of competition a ce moment, n'est-ce-pas??

Spencer was lower down last night and now this morning he's up high again.
Think theres been some multiple voting going on.
I confess I vote maybe 3 times a day as my opinions change - how fickle is that !?

Alex is entertainment value which may not necessarily mean he's popular in personality terms.
But at least when he was in the poor house he made a go of it and put in positive energy unlike the two sloths who're still there now.

i like alex. he really changed the moment the house was split in two last week. i think he felt out of control in a larger group and he has now chilled out a (very) little bit.
his anal (in every sense of the word) behavior is fun to watch and quite lovable. He is a real excentric charactor.

Alex is topping the 'favourite poll' at the moment because people are finally 'getting' what he's all about. He's an innocent lad who has been brought up by 'particular' parents, he's the anti-hero of BB3... the result of which is provides us with some great comedy value of the series so far.. and also some pretty interesting sub-plots.. only he could select Alex's-Angels [Adele, Jade, Sophie] and create one of the best "will he.. won't he punch Alex [PJ]" stories in recent weeks..

Oh, not to mention the fact that yesterday he was providing some great comedy in the bedroom .. almost reminiscent of "Brian's" bedroom antics from last series.. [hopefully this will be shown in detail on CH4 tonight] .. Either way, the guy has made what would otherwise have been a tedious borefest..

One thing to note is that it seems the general “pub types” don’t seem to take to him because they feel threatened by liking someone as particular as Alex.. they feel the need to support the Jonny’s of this world .. who, when all said and done, are complete £”&^!*£’s but remains a sad reflection on social values..

Alex makes the live coverage worth watching. The only other person with a really strong personality is Jade, but I can never understand what she is saying.

The strange thing is most of the people who are now saying Alex is great. wanted Alison to stay in the house. How different things might have been...

I wanted Alex and Alison to stay in that week. If everyone had voted for Sandy it would have saved him climbing the wall. The house would be so different if she was still there.....Jonny would be noisier for a start (and more interesting).
