Letita Dean - Something I have to get off my chest.
Isn't she lazy. Shes leaving every five minitues and quite frankly I'm pig sick of Sharon 'arriving' that if she was to leave in a body bag I wouldn't care. Make your mind up 'Tish' if you want full time employment then stick with EE and if your wanting part time then Kwik Save offer flexible hours.
Look at June Brown and Wendy Richards, in almost every episode and their both at retirement age (June is 78), my hat goes off to them. As for Tish, shut the door, the breeze is getting tedious. |

just what i think, the reason why she does this is because she knows EE is in trouble and when she leaves EE will pay her anything she wants to get her back on board because she thinks she is so important to the show, its the same with Kat, it's bankrupting EE, if she carries on this money-grabbing technique they should just axe her all together!!

I'm sick of her comings and goings too, but to be fair to her she didn't want or intend to come back this summer. The producers persuaded her to. So it is them who should get the blame for us having to witness two exits for her in the space of one year.
I think previous to that she only had one, quite long, break? But I think as a principle Easties should stop the revolving door for all their 'stars' as it is not doing the show any favours. |

Course she is. All I'm saying is that panto pays a lot to her. Several actresses on Emmerdale have had babies and they are back to work within three months, and they film six episodes a week. |

WGO, I have already mentioned that Tish did not want to return at all this year, it was the producers' idea. The time after Tom's death was only a brief departure. A lot of actors have that kind of time off. (Gus has had most of the year off
)There aren't many actresses who only have 3 months off for a baby. Five or six months seems to be usual (although Sally in Corrie only seemed to be away a few weeks but that may have been clever storylining so you didn't notice). I thought Kacey taking a whole year off for the baby was taking the p1ss, but now of course I'm wishing she hadn't come back at all. You mentioned Wendy - she had a lot of time off a few years back, not just when she was diagnosed with breast cancer but for a long while afterwards, to 'minimise stress' (understandably). And it is only quite recently that she has resumed having a lot of screen time - in the past couple of years she would disappear for months on end, either she was just not mentioned, or she would be 'going to see Shell' for a month or two. So she does have a fair amount of time off, although she never has an 'exit' written, which is the difference. |

Just because they are actors on a soap doesn't mean they should have any less rights. |

Just because they are actors on a soap doesn't mean they should have any less rights. I'm currently on maternity leave and fully intend to take the full year off. Am I taking the p*ss then? |

I agree with you but unlike in the past, EE is at an important stage, and the future looks worrying and so most of the cast leave in their droves and Letita Dean returns for five mins then leaves again. It may be down to the producers but everyone has their own mind. And as for all these baby rumors, is there actually any proof? |

Yes she's entitled, good for her for taking up her full rights etc etc. I was just observing that she took a much longer break than most soap actresses - the reason I see it as taking the p1ss is to do with the constant revolving door ethos at Easties, the horrendous exit storyline they wrote her, and the fact I don't think Lil Moo is a character worth the upheaval of that exit. Nothing to do with mothers' rights in general. That's all I have to say on the subject of Kacey's maternity leave, I try to avert my mind when Lil Moo is mentioned.

![]() I'm not saying that everyone is needed for 12 hours everyday. It will of course vary depending on storylines (and Letitia Dean tends to have intensive storylines when she is working). |
