Ellie_babe ("Ellie") and babycatcher ("BC") READ THIS:

Ellie, BC is correct, postings in "your" name and saying similar things have appeared in a few forums this evening, are you sure they're not you?

BC, Ellie is new and your comment implying she was very young (about going to bed) was out of order. She only stated her opinion, and even framed her comments AS opinions, unlike many, who seem to think what they say is *fact*. There is nothing wrong with proper "argument" but please don't pick on people just because you may not agree with them.

Ellie: I look forward to seeing more comments from you, have you any opinions on the other HMs?

Thankyou for picking me up on my manners, Jack

However I did not pick on her because I did not agree with her.
in fact, I did not pick on her at all.
And opinions are not "proper argument"

This confrontation was in the offing last night, which is why I switched off.
I have refrained from responding to any of your posts this evening up till now.
i will now go back to that trend.

I still find MOST of your posts amusing though......

m'kay: so why *did* you pick on her? (and Saying to someone "Isnt it time you went to bed?" would generally be seen as "picking on them", unless you knew they were 8, or whatever.) Maybe you have some special knowledge??

In my view you were patronising to her.

I'm not sure what you mean by opinions are not "proper argument".
If you mean that Ellie should have backed up her opinions, that's fine, so why didn't you say that instead of the remarks you did make. Honestly BC, you're obvioulsy intelligent, certainly above most of the ,er, less intelligent stuff that gets posted. In fact I rely on persons like you to make these forums interesting.

This confrontation etc...? Sounds interesting. Please don't refrain from responding to my comments: god knows I need some intelligence to stimulate me, and you're one of the few I would describe as intelligent.

Don't worry about offending me, I'm not scared of a fight.

cheers, and no hard feelings (ooerr)

Sorry Jack I don't think I am in a particularly good mood tonight and I see where you are coming form about patronising. It reminded of my 15 year-old daughter (also called Ellie!) especially when the text-speak appeared.

Things fall out of my mouth/head roughly once a month and there is no way I can stop them!! Which is also why i was probably over-sensitive last night.

perhaps I should just get my coat.........

PUT THAT COAT BACK THIS INSTANT!!!

At the risk of sounding like an INSENSTIVE MALE (are you with me chaps?): what happened last night (how many times have I said that?!)

I still love you,, I've lived with enough girlies to understand the old monthly thing (we are talking pay packets aren't we?).

That is VERY interesting, that your daughter's also called Ellie...

But getting back to me... what DID you mean about not replying to my postings? I am tres curieux.

Jack

OMG!! I don't know
I think it was because I was obviously sensitive to some of your comments last night (due to the pay packet and the alcohol. OH I have become Jade!!!!!!!!) and I didn't want to feel pissed off again as I really enjoy your comments. (so does my 17 year old who is not called Ellie, and has the driest SOH of any teenager I have ever known)

perhaps I will take off the coat and open some cheap red plonk that I have. It suits me better than the cheap white plonk I was guzzlimg last night.

Trust me darling, you have NOT become like Jade.
If you've got any of that white left over, you can post it to me, I'll gladly dispose!

I'm pissed on theb stuff right now.

Perhaps for the benefit on mankind, we should steer this thread back to topic, what do you say?

Good grief, since when was saying what you think a crime?

And Jack, if you're doing a survey, I'm of the male persuasion and don't think Spencer is in the least bit attractive. I'm not a Spencer fan either, hope he goes on Friday... very unlikely though

yes, I thought chuff's comment so unhelpful that I couldn'r even be bothered to reply.

Thanks: there does seem to be a trend (males don't like spence).
Like you I'm somewhat sad about the possible/probable outcome.
:'(
Actually, I'm not sure I'll carry on watching if alex goes. That's not some kind of pseudo-threat, it's just that I really dont like any of the others, except Adele.

Actually none of the women I work with like Spencer either, the words 'dirty', 'slob', 'blech' and 'up himself' were all mentioned.

Same here

after 11 at night Spencer rulez . Alex is only midly funny after he's filled his quaint little legs up with wine.
