Joan Collins in Footballers Wives
According to Tina Bakers soap gossip on P118 of ITV Teletext, Joan Collins is set to appear in the next series of Footballers Wives. In the article, Tina criticises her for refusing a role in Corrie and then taking a role in FW. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone's heard anymore on this? Is it true? I wonder will she be appearing as herself or playing a character? It would be great if she showed up as Tanya's mother.

I was hoping someone would mention this, I think it's great as long as she's not playing a total Alexis clone, which i suspect she will. I think she'd be good as Garry's ex wife who turns up for Olly's funeral, if Olly has indeed died.

Spoiler
As I said I never saw Extra Time so I dont know how accurate this is. I'd imagine if she does show up, it will be as a complete Alexis clone much like her role in the mid 90s flop Pacific Palisades where she played a bitchy much married gold digging maneater. I wonder if its a one off appearance or a continuing role? Her appearance will give the new series a bit of an edge as it needs a lift after so many departures. I do hope the rumours about Zoe Lucker coming back are true. |

She's such a hideously plastic old boot. A taxydermist would have a field day with her.

you can have all the botox and plastic surgery in the world, but the real giveaway of a woman's age is her hands.
there ya go. next time, you see a suspected 24 year old stunner, check out her hands. she'll probably really be 85...

Just to update the rumours surrounding JC's possible casting, Teletext P131 had a report yesterday that said she would be having talks this week about taking a starring role in the show which looks likes she's in talks to appear as a regular character as opposed to just a cameo spot as herself. The report also said that therewould be 8 episodes this series with the first and last being 90 minute specials. It also mentions that Zoe Lucker will be returing as Tanya in episode 5 and mentioned that the Garry Ryan character from Extra Time would be a regular.
