Matthew has set up a secret meeting with Andrew Raftry regarding access through a field. Matthew arrives back to hear that Tom is selling their land to concentrate on the haulage and plant hire. Matthew declares that he will take his dad on as he has found a great way to access the development. He asks the others to out vote his dad, but will they back him?

Meanwhile, Val arrives at the factory and is shocked to see the room bare. She receives a threatening phone call from Jimmy demanding the money. She tells him to stay away from the village and Paul if he wants his money. Will this be enough?

Also, Ivan fears Jarvis’s working days are numbered when Tom points out to Carl that his bins weren’t emptied on time, and later when Carl finds Jarvis in the pub with Ivan and reminds him he’s supposed to be working. Later, Carl catches Ivan and tells him he knows he is covering for Jarvis and taking on the work load.

Anyway, she actually seems very good.

I think Kelly might be improving, I liked her tonight. Lesley and Val were great as always, the rest was okay. The Kings are believable as a family imo and often get some funny lines: "oh he always looks like that".

Classic line from Val. "Being Bald and Ugly gives him cause to be angry"

I like the intrigue amongst the Kings storyline.

Kelly, officially the ugliest girl in the village, continues to be loathsome and is irredeemable :

Not sure about the new girl at the vets, but I'll give the character chance to settle in before deciding. Is it just me or did anyone else think she's looks a litle bit like Delilah?

Kelly is still terrible.

Donna and Marlon are still wonderful.

The Kings are still boring.

The new girl Jo is some well-deserved eye-candy for the Dales.

Well she seems harmless enough. Will put Kelly in the shadows anyway.

I think Carl is becoming better looking - his hair seems a bit blonders these days. I'm beginning to quite like him as a character, i thought he was a bit boring before.

I don't think that will be necessary but it was clear to me that Matthew was plotting to do something against the wishes of his father.

Boring episode. Too much Kings. The new girl seems like a good character though. Ivan fancies her

i reckon this development plot by the Kings will be interesting. Not the usual Soap storyline.

I've got a fantasy soap cast called Kings and Dingles. But no Chas! It's an outrage. Kings storyline looks good to me, I like the scheming that goes on with the Kings, thought they'd been out of it too much lately.

A good episode to end the week. I laughed when Donna had a jibe at Diane for having fat fingers...
