Neighbours - Friday 26th August
Flippin' bloody heck.
I know I'm a bit slow off the mark here, but just seen it. That has to be one of the best soap eppys on any soap this year. It could have been so cheesily done, but it was all drama and tension. The build up to David and Serenas discovery was excellent, and the acting from all concerned was top notch. Wish they'd put that on prime time instead of the drivel we're getting most of the time...... |

I've always liked Marcella Russo (Lil) but yesterday she surpassed herself. Can't believe they're letting the family go, there's something wrong with the producers, there has to be!
Roll on Tuesday! |

Caught this episode cos I happened to be off work. Haven't really seen it much in the last year?
I gather that Paul has plans to bulldoze Ramsey St, but is anyone able to fill me in a bit more (don't have time to read episode recaps on the BBC website going back for the last year!). Also, do Lou and Harrold now run a shop? |

As for Lou and Harold, when Paul burnt down the old Lassiters complex (missed the 'why' of that, you're not the only one to miss a few eps), Max and Izzy went into business with Scarlet Bar and Lou and Harold decided they were better suited to something lower-key. There was born the General Store and plenty of laughs. |

I've been trying to spread the word that Neighbours is the best soap and puts the current crop of British soaps to shame, not many people listen to ol' Shane though. Glad it's getting the appreciation is deserves

Ah, so it WAS Paul that set the fire. Anyone know why? And where is Scarlet Bar and the store? Are they on a complex like Lassiters? Are they even rebuilt ON Lassiters? I am hoping to be in a position to start watching again soon and want to be up to speed. This is the first time I've missed big chunks of episodes since before the tea-time showings started! |

oh no!
not the bridge, why did they have to take that out. Are there any before and after pictures so that we know what was built where? For example was the scarlet bar built on the old lous place site and was the general store built on the old coffee shop site? thanks ![]() edit: found this, it has pictures and makes things a little eary to understand, i just needed to get my bearings http://perfectblend.net/neighbourhood/other.htm

Thanks freeview_mad, that link helped! When i google'd lassiters complex it had old pictures of the coffee shop and lous place, however when going to the site the images have been replaced, shame they didnt include a before and after on the site itself but you can see whats changed. Here's the google link which shows two images of the old set up: http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=...r=&sa=N&tab=wi is it just me or does the new set look more like a beach now i miss the pond now i have noticed its gone

Glad you guys enjoyed it too.
I do agree that Neighbours is putting UK soaps at the moment to shame. Great characters, addictive plots, and intelligent scripts. Never thought I'd say that! Thinking about it, the average day, Neighbours gets 5-6 million viewers, in off peak times. Imagine what it would on a later time slot..... |

i love Sky and Dylan, the bit where Dylan is rushing out of the car and hitting his hat on the window was funny! Neway that was a really good eppy! Thats the only soap i can stand to watch, ive started to lose interest in the rest now.
