I wasn't a fans of tonights, but i have just looked to see what the next episode- or new series has in store for us, and it has a builiding of asylum seekers collapsing.
I know this will be in a couple of weeks away but does anyone find this is kind of poor to show after the fire at an asylum seekers hotel and 17 died- friday was it?
I know the producers didn't see that happening but does anyone think maybe they should change the episode? Or is it just me being stupid?

Plus... Did anyone ever see the series just gone of E.R? That also had a building collapsing- well a party deck and many were injured or killed... maybe this is just me, but it feels like the are running out of ideas?

What do you all think?

To be perfectly honest , when it comes to a hopsital there are only so many storylines when it comes to accidents because they are trying to reflect real life. And in real life it is the same sort of accidents etc that happen . It is how they portray them on screen that makes them different.

As for being insensitive , yes to a certain extent TV has to be aware of things going on. But then on the other hand where do they draw the line. After all you can guarantee that whatever is in the show , the chances are that in the UK there will be at least one person watching who may have been involved in something that is similar to at least one of the onscreen stories. In that case you would never be on air.

I think people have to realise that most TV does not set out to upset , it is just coincidence. And without being nasty , if you have just had someone die , then maybe Casualty or Holby or any medical drama is a programme to be avoided at that time. I know I would .

I suppose you're right, just i read a magazine article a while ago of story line that could happen in soaps-- and rosie from corrie was supposed to go missing as a child but because it was happening to a family in realy life they didn't do the story line... i just thought it may be similar and people may be affected (effected??) by the story line?
