is the american show Days Of Our Lives on Tv. thankxx

Well yes and no. Its still on in the US but it hasn't been show in the UK since five axed it in 2001.

I miss Days of Our Lives, it was an awesome show. It's one of my all-time fav US Soaps. Unfortunately FIVE ended it in Apr '01 with a "bang" & I mean literally lolz... There's SO many unanswered questions that I'm in the dark about...

Like how did Nicholas Alamain leave the show? Did Victor blackmail/threaten him after discovering his affair with Kate? I've always wanted to see what happened after the tragic shoot-out in Italy during Greta's coronation. After the last epi, FIVE continuity announcer Pauline DID mention who died/survived but it's not as exciting as watching it for yourself. I've always wanted to enjoy watching Sami/Austin's wedding where Nicole/Lexie interrupt the ceremony with the confession that Sami doctored the paternity tests to make Lexie think that Abe fathered baby Thomas & not Brandon. Also, the explosive "Salem Serial Killer" storyline has kept me hooked to continue reading DOOL via NBC & I want to watch that more than any other DOOL storyline over the Yrs. Is it possible to get a campaign up-&-running in urging a channel to pick-up the show?

I Think it should come back, after a long 4week stay in MAlta i am really hooked on it but going back to England will be boring with out the Days Of Our Lives. lol

Days was fabulous when it was on Channel 5, I used to rush home from school everyday to watch the episode that I'd set the VCR up to tape whilst I was out! The serial killer storyline was excellent too, its a shame that Days wasn't around long enough in the UK for people to see that.

However, ever since the captives were found on the island I think its been just dreadful. There are no storylines at the moment that interest me and the Philip Iraq storyline just seems out of place. JER needs to sort out where he's heading badly.

I was just thinking the exact same thing; Since it was discovered that ALL of Marlena's victims were alive on the Island, DOOL has been aweful so much in fact that I've stopped reading about it via NBC. Who were your fav characters? Mine were super-couple Bo & Hope, John, Marlena, Stefano, Brady, Belle, Shawn, MiMi, Nicholas, Kate, Phillip, Sami, Nicole & Brandon.

Well, it wasn't just the fact that all of Marlena's victims turned up on the island, it was the fact that characters that hadn't been the victim of Marlena turned up too (ie Victor who had been offed by Jan). The fact that Tony was 'just able to take advantage of the situation' was preposterous. Unless they explained it better than I understood! Someone somewhere (could of been on here, could have been another site) made the point that the one and only time JER actually listened to the viewers (and brought all the axed cast back) was the worst mistake he's made, so perhaps its best to just let him get on with it!

In terms of favourite characters, another problem I was having was that by the time I stopped following it regularly I didn't really like any of the characters. I always really liked Bo & Hope, but once Billie returned I really couldn't be bothered to root for either pairing. I was always a big fan of Mimi and Patrick, but didn't like the horrible rewrite they did of Bonnie. Although the actress was good at making the best of a bad role I thought!
