According to The People, Johnny Allen will be killed off by Phil Mitchell early next year. Phil and Grant return when Johnny angers Peggy, this will eventually lead to Johnny's demise. 'Peggy takes an instant dislike to Johnny the moment he sets foot in the square', an Eastenders Spokesperson confirmed.

If true, it quashes any rumours that Johnny helps Peggy to get Phil released.

Well I suppose that's one way to keep Ruby around, which I think might be the intention...

That's just silly. Johnny Allen could have Phil and Grunt in a fight anyday.

This sounds great to me. I wonder if Grant will have anything to do with Johnny's demise? This must be why Grant returns early next year.

What's the bet that he'll get away with it just like everything else he's done?

I thought Grant returned this Autumn? I read somewhere that Chrissie is going to be heavily involved with the storylines with the Mitchell brothers. Unless early next year is when Grant comes back for the second time?

It sounds true as Peggy knows Johnny from years ago and he had something to do with the death of her first husband.

Grant is returning in October for 9 episodes, but is thought to be returning in January for 6 months as part of Ross Kemp's new deal with the BBC.
I've heard Grant takes an instant disliking towards Chrissie which I'm sure will cause fireworks between Grant and Sharon and possibly Dennis. I can't wait.

Someones living in a dreamworld. The only violence we've seen off johnny is shaking andy's hand and striking ian beale (the biggest wimp of all time) in the stomach!

johnny would never beat one of them, let alone both. He'd need his contacts, and at the moment his only contact is billy mitchell!

Yes I think Johnny Allen could have once been a hardman or gangster, but he's put all that behind him now.
I think there will be some history between Johnny and Peggy. Johnny has always come across as showing more than a passing interest at the Mitchell's. Peggy's return may reveal the truth behind why Johnny is so interested.
Or perhaps Peggy has an affair with Johnny and the Mitchell brother's return to intervene perhaps.

Yawn.

The trouble with this, and the problem with the show at present is it's all so bloody predictable. Same old, same old. Us humans need variety etc to keep us interested in things.

All the spoilers that have popped up over the last few months have all been exactly what I'd have expected to happen.

They could have said Eric died of cancer as a smokescreen.

It could work out that Johnny knew Eric Mitchell because Johnny was a boxer and Eric Mitchell was into boxing as well.

I hope this isn't true. It is ridiculous to get one 'murder' (Den) and its consequences over with, then have yet another major character murdered, necessitating yet more convoluted plot devices either to get Phil off, or get him caught.

I would have though it's unlikely as it isn't confirmed Ross Kemp is returning next year, and we don't know when/if Phil is returning after he leaves in December.

Easties have in the past put out false spoilers so I am hoping this is one such (either that, or the workings of a journalist's imagination).

Oh for goodness sake, why are the Mitchells reverred as so scary and hard when they are just petty bullies and vile thugs. Hardly cold blooded murder material. They have been shown to been the kind of men who react to emotional distress - and i don't see what Johnny could do to them to cause any anger / upset that would cause them to flip and kill him - because that's the only way the sad bullying Mitchells would kill anyone. They dont do cold blood. Everything is personal and usually involves women or the cunning of Den Watts.

However i would rather see Johnny finally involved in something more akin to what i felt his character initially promised, and by dealing deftly and coldly with the precious Mitchells he could do just that. But it a little predictable and as i say, to me the Mitchells are small time bullies whereas Johnny clearly has a high standing within dark and underworld circles and how these two brothers are meant to kill him off in a manner other than beating him up after a full nights drinking in the Vic, i cant see it happening in any believable way.

As you may be able to tell, i deeply resent the emphasis and pride of place the Mitchells seem to about to be playing in Eastenders. Phil i dont mind on his own and Sam has come into her own, but Peggy is so irritating and Grant - well he is ancient history in my eyes and has little to come back to. Even though Den was away for 14 years his ties with Walford seemed much more obvious and were much more easily resussitated than i think Grant's will be.

I hope Johnny puts them both in a mincer and allows EE to move on from the Mitchell domination, which was good for a time but should now be put to one side in favour of new talent. Unfortunately many of the best new faces, namely Tracy-Ann Oberman and Billy Murray are leaving before their time.
