EastEnders Character Rankings Results
Ok, I'm going to do it in countdown style (The way cheeks did it in the BB Forum). I won't go into too much detail but here goes....
37th (64 pts) Charlie Slater Charlie arrived in 2000 with his noisy family consisting of his 4 daughters and his mother-in-law. He has had one romance during his five years in Albert Square, with Peggy Mitchell. Unfortunately for Charlie, it turned out to be unrequited and was heartbroken when she announced her engagement to brother Harry - This engagement was broken off when it was revealed Harry had raped Charlie's daughter Kat at the age of 14 resulting in Zoe being born. Previously, Charlie was married to wife Viv up until her death before the family's arrival. |

Gus Smith Gus arrived in 2002 and briefly had a relationship with Sonia. His brother Juley arrived a few months later and they've both hardly done anything since decorating the Brannings house. When Robbie Jackson left for India, Gus took up the responsibility of Wellard - A dog who get's more storylines than he does. He sweeps the market every now and again, blink and you'll miss him. |

Lucy Beale Peter's twin Lucy is also just starting to become a character. Lucy hasn't got any friends right now but that could well change. |

Little Mo Mitchell The mouse-like Little Mo arrived with the rest of the Slater clan in September 2000 and just seemed timid to start off. 3 months in, her violent husband Trevor came looking for Mo. She almost instantly took him back and Trevor kept on beating her, On New Years Eve 2001 Mo had had enough and hit him over the head with an iron - Little Mo was charged with attempted murder and spent 2 months in prison. Just 2 months after her release, Trevor again came looking for her and the result was 2 deaths at the Slater house. That was her only successful storyline, she now insists on torturing us by way of her affair with Alfie Moon. She was also raped for a second time and had Freddie. |

Keith Miller Keith has so far spent almost a year on Albert Square, having storylines such as illiteracy, fraud and of course daughter Demi's pregnancy and recent drug taking. I personally am finally warming to Keith and the Millers. |

Mickey Miller A 2 week stint in 2003 as Mo Harris' dodgy dealing supplier led to a regular part and a whole family. He was obviously popular to begin with but it looks like that popularity has faded since the rest of the Millers arrived placing him in 28th. |

Sonia Fowler Arriving in 1993, Sonia is one of few characters to have grown up on the Square. Sonia's first big storyline came 7 years later when she gave birth to baby Chloe and decided adopting her out was the best course of action. Since then, Sonia has been engaged to the late Jamie Mitchell and married to Martin Fowler - Chloe's father. |

Garry Hobbs When we first saw Garry, he was the Jack-the-lad boyfriend of Lynne Slater. Garry has since married and divorced Lynne, slept with Laura Beale and last year he and Lynne lost their unborn baby. Garry is now managing 'Beale's Wheels' and has moved in with best friend and workmate Minty Peterson. |

Billy Mitchell Billy has undergone a character reinvention during his six years on Albert Square. Going from violent uncle to loving husband it's almost unbelievable, Billy married Little Mo in 2002 but split in 2003 after she was raped for a second time. He tried to be a father to Little Mo's son Freddie but Billy just couldn't. Eventually, Billy did come around but it was too late for Mo as she was already cheating with Alfie Moon. |

Patrick Trueman Patrick turned up on the Square on the day of wife Audrey's funeral. Never knowing Patrick, Paul doubted whether he was realy their father. When the tests came back, it was revealed Patrick was not Paul's father but was Anthony's. Soon after Anthony left the square and was replaced by a new face - Yolande. Patrick and Yolande grew closer over time and married in 2004, they shut down the B&B and bought the Minute Mart. Now getting over the loss of son Paul, they spend their days in the shp in which they run with the help of Stacey Slater. |

Mo Harris Mo arrived on the Square in 2000, a month later delivering Sonia's baby Chloe. With her dodgy dealings and hatred for Pat, she has certainly made an impression. I'm actually quite surprised by her disappointing performance in this poll. |

Ian Beale As one of two remaining original characters, Ian has certainly seen his fair share of storylines. In 20 years, Ian has been married 3 times, had 3 biological kids, one adopted, made money and lost everything. His dad's dead his mum's in South Africa and has a half brother by his worst enemy - Ian's life on Walford defanately hasn't been an easy ride. |

Minty Peterson Arriving in 2002, Minty was originally a nasty vile individual who was friends with Phil and landlord to Janine. He has since had an unrequited love for Sam and a complete character turn-around. |

Yolande Trueman Apart from marying Patrick last year, she's had no other big storylines That's a shame since she's such a good character. |

There are way too many characters in Eastenders - 37! They need to get rid of a few hangers-on, like Gus.
