corrie- so someone had nits, someones ex-wife wants their tv, someone has a new business, someone wants to renovate a park
eastenders- a wedding, a dead body dug up, an arrest, some good one-liners-stacey, sharon etc
this is why eastenders is good because it doesn't need "comedy" like corrie does, can you imagine if an ee character had nits? the critics would have a field day! In corrie though it is "comedy" and "Brilliant" and "Northern humour" (I am Northern by the way). I think it is just tripe!

hi just like to say what a hillarious and great episode of corrie with the likes of janice, eileen and sean and the rest of the cast put up a great performance and corrie just shows how it can do comedy and serious acting and i am northern and dont think this is tripe. Although eastenders was very good tonight but come on like dot said to pauline give us a smile did we see one, sharon looked great and chrissie always steals the show.

EastEnders does do comedy though, and when it does do, I like it better than Corrie's!

But that's just my opinion, I don't like OTT comedic storylines - I like the dark comedy lines like Janine's, they were classics.

And tonight with Sam: "I don't trust lawyers!"

Some people like Corrie, some people like EE, and shock! Some people like both.

The problem with EE is obvious even in the first poster's enthusiastic post.

You can't dig up a dead body, arrest someone and have a wedding in every episode. EE does these things well (sometimes) but the problem is the other 195 episodes a year when none of those things happen. It all falls apart and we get the tediosity of Alfie and Lil Moo.

Corrie on the other hand is much more consistent and even low key storylines are written very well. (You might not like them, but I think they ARE done well.)

I like both EE and Corrie when they are on form, but the trouble is, EE is still having trouble doing any more than producing a dozen good eps a year. I hope this strike rate improves soon.

I try to make assessments over a period of time, not just the one night, It has to be, AT THE MOMENT,

1. Corrie
2. Emmerdale
3. EastEnders

Why do people always act like you can ONLY LIKE ONE SOAP?? I like them all, apart from Family Affairs which I've never took to.

I like them all.... apart from Eastenders.... I only watch Hollyoaks anymore i I want to brighten up a sunday morning....

Eastenders is boring, flat comedy ... Ian Beale taking kids to class' where they have to learn fighting....

Juley is coming back in the show, as much as I hate him... more characters is what EE needs! Kareena and Sasha back in it would help, at least I watched it then! Now EE is a useless bore and needs to take a leaf out of FA's book and employ a whole host o new characters in, instead of chasing one time wonders only to bring them back into a heap.

Dennis is crap, Nigel has forgotten how to act in some episodes, it is only doing love scenes with Sharon! Anything else it is believable, but talking saucey with Sharon in a spoilt childs voice wanting to skip the reception is unbearable!

They need to keep Ruby Allen in it, or else Stacey Slater may as well wave goodbye!

At least Jake will be back! Whooo!!!!! If Calvin Goldspink joins co star IDreamer Matt Di angelo I will watch it more!

I will be watching it for the next to weeks or so to watch Peggy, she has lost the long hair now!

Emmerdale gets most o my viewing thesedays, well ater FA of course!!! Corrie is good to, though tonight Janice in the pub... hmmm, if the dog shampoo had not of came up I think it would of been a flat moment... I like the moment of Corrie, it will be doom and gloom again soon from what I have heard, so I will watch all comedy stories in it!!!

Talking of that, Janice and Claire!!!

It's amazing how everybody is saying how fantastic EE is after oen bloody episode. I remain optimistic and I do believe that EE will come back, but don't start assuming just yet, let's actaully wait until we can see the ratings (not after just one episode) and then we can all agree.

I don't understand why everyone simply states that EE was fantastic!! It was just one episode. I, myself enjoyed it but I'm not really going to get carried away. I'll wait until the end of the week..

You don't watch it anymore so therefore you don't actually have the right to say Corrie does comedy OTT. How do you know? You don't watch it.

CORRIE for me, absolutely no doubt about it.

its pathetic how because EE have 1 good episode everyone is starting this Corrie V EE battle. If Corrie fans did this everytime Corrie had a good episode there would be far too many Corrie threads on this forum.
