From the way Kate was laughing along with Spencer while he was teasing her I'd say she was lapping it up. So to speak!

But she only has herself to blame. You can't rustle up support for yourself by flirting with anything in trousers and go into great detail about the seedier side of your sex life all on one of the most watched shows on nation television and not expect people to think (rightly or wrongly) that you're a bit of an easy lay.

His line of questioning started along the lines of, "You *must* have drunk gallons of the stuff [cum].. a thimble at a time then, it all mounts up you know… in a relationship, like..”

She then began to get a little upset at his comments the further he went into crass detail, he even made another ‘suck my *ock’ comment a short while later… She sat up in the garden and then complained that his comments were making her sound like a ‘whore’ .. and then mentioned to Jade that he was making assumptions based on a past conversation the girls had [and she had relayed to Spencer] about ‘swallowing’ … and that she was worried how this will come across to th viewing public [remember she's already had comments shouted over the fence] ..

The ' Kate is a slag!' shout coming a few days after Sandy 's home truth's to her seemed to knock the stuffing out of Kate, making her very self conscious of how she's perceived in the house.
Spencer seems aware of this too and is teasing her at every opportunity. Go Spencer!

And kate sleeping topless last night wouldn't help her with the "i'm a goodee two shoes" image she's trying to put over.

excuse me for pointing it out, but Kate hasn't actually done anything in the house to warrant that comment - you can't really say that flirting, however many times she does it, is enough to make people think she's a slag. I think there's a couple of other people in the house who come first in line for the slut of the year award......

If all this stuff above has happened how come you know about it? Why has it been shown? Some people seem to think that C4 are scared of libel actions. Right, so why hadn't they edited all this stuff out. It all sounds pretty libellous to me.

Depends on the context: remember you sue the PUBLISHER in a libel action, as well as the, er, person who says it.

If you were down the pub drinking and said, jokingly, "me, i knicked loads of stuff from work, and they'll know nowt about it" (as I'm sure you talk like that!!), but someone wrote it down, and then published it, you'd sue the publisher.

You obvioulsy wouldn't sue yourself, and you wouldn't sue if it were TRUE, unless you were Jade!!!

It's mega complicated by such issues as: she knew the camera was there (implied consent) etc etc, and would never succeed in real life: this is just an academic exercise I'm carrying out.

I thought Spencer was alleged to have made the comments..
If he did, even if the cameras were off, Kate might still have a cause of action in *slander* if any of the other HMs had heard.

Anyway the point I was trying to make is, people have blamed the silences on possible libel actions etc, so if thats true, why would they not mind the comments that earlier posters say were made?? It's inconsistent, and just convinces me more that c4's lamentable excuses for censorship are aload of b-locks.

Here's a question: assuming alex is not gay, what possible causes of action could he have if Spencer carved "alex is a gay minger" in the table?

More likely to be considered as slander but not if it's common knowledge that is being repeated in public, anyway could be PJ's fist case (sic) when he gets out (sorry thats libelous)

It would be libel if we see it on the telly, Slander if the other HMs hear it, but then it would not necessarily be actionable. (K would need to prove loss)

Its a very funny mispelling for reasons I can't go into due to possible legal reasons..............

I didn't see/hear these exact comments of Spencers, but I did see him teasing Kate into trying to say she'd prostitute herself by accepting money from a guy even if she fancied him, wanted to sleep with him anyway, but he happened to want to give her money for it after...she was running rings round Spencer trying to get her to say "yes I'd take the money".

This sort of crude but harmless teasing has been going on between the two of them both ways a lot...it's a sign to me that they actually like each other a lot. Its a way of discussing sexual matters whilst keeping it on a fun level which they both seem to understand. Kate and Spencer seem to connect a lot on this sort of level - the mutual teasing, not just about sexual things. It seems all the people currently on the poor side share the same sort of sense of humour (as do I), and those on the rich side don't.

How anyone could see Spencer's comments like this seriously I have no idea...unless they've had a humour bypass...it's teasing, its a joke, its funny, lighten up. He's a human being not a priest after all...and I'd hazard a guess that a majority of men have shared jokes like that, and a most of them will have also shared them with women too...if you've never come across this sort of humour then fine, you have an excuse to misunderstand.
