Emmerdale - Tuesday August 30th/05
Over dinner, Effie tells Zoe that she will not be going with her to New Zealand. As Zoe tries to persuade her, Effie realises that Zoe wants them to go as partners and she make it clear that she is not interested. An upset Zoe asks her to leave. Callum later finds Zoe and as she explains what has happened Callum asks her to take him instead. How will Zoe react to the shock proposition?
Tom is concerned about the business and offers a shocked Carl a directorship. A vote in the office is unanimous and a delighted Carl is on the board. Jimmy and Matthew are left wondering why their dad has appointed Carl as a director but they decide that they can turn Carl around to their way of thinking. Meanwhile, there is stunned silence at Donna and Marlon’s engagement party when Bob arrives back from his holiday and explains that because of a mix up Viv has been arrested for possession of drugs and is in a Caribbean jail. ![]() Yes, she's driving me nuts I really want to give her a good shake. You just knew Bob was going to walk through that door by himself.

I hate Zoe Tate, I know everyone else likes her so I try to but I just can't. I hope she goes down for attempted murder, I know Scott kinda deserved it but she is guilty after all...

That was an excellent episode, Zoe was a right cow. Effie and Callum have actually become really good characters imo. Hopefully they'll feature right up until her exit, maybe even stick around.
I still somehow felt sorry for Zoe though, her reactions were kind of human rather than being nasty for the sake of it. And why on earth would Callum assume she'd take him anyway? At least Effie had a purpose looknig after her kids, I can't see what Callum would do unless Zoe started a new business. Not surprised Paddy had a go at her. LOL at the "finding tinfoil wrapped round your 'ead" line ![]() The Donna/Marlon scenes were sweet, and the whole party thing quite funny, especially Edna, Betty and Pearl

I feel a bit sorry for Zoe because I was also a bit confused about Effie. It has been clear for some time that Callum is in love with Zoe. Unfortunately for him, she is a lesbian at the moment Why did Tom King, bother to make Carl a director. He would still have to rely on Sadies vote. With Sadies vote it would have been 2-2 and he would have had the casting vote. Now, if Carl or Sadie change sides he is sunk. ![]() Good episode.

Ill be glad to see the back of Callum and that babysitter, they never really do any other interaction in the soap , they are just Zoes bitches.
Is the actress who plays Viv off on holiday for a long time or something? It just seemed so random that she is in jail now. |

How come whenever Viv and Bob go on holiday he always comes back without her. Wasn't she stricken with some sort of contagious disease the last time they went abroad?
I do like Callum and hope that he gets used more, he seems such a caring sort. I'd take him to New Zealand

I just said the same thing in a new thread. Corrie is no threat to any soap anymore it is that crap. |
