It's improving but it's not the best soap yet.
It's still the no.2 soap and the ratings reflect this.

Don't get me wrong it is vastly improving. Much of Monday nights episode was great, though I didn't personally think much of Sam's performance and for me was the weak link. Competition helps all the soaps. But the OP needs to get a sense of perspective

I know, how can these 'EastEnders is No.1' threads be justified when EastEnders got 9.1 million viewers and Coronation Street got 9.3 million? I'm not saying ratings is the primary reason to distinguish the qualirty of a programme but these ass clowns continue to say EastEnders is the best when Janice with nits was watched by more people than their single decent storyline about Den because as soon as Molfie and the Millers return to the centre stage it'll be back to crap which it has been for the past 3 years.

Shane last night EE got 10.1 and a massvie 53% share. However threads like this I do not agree with so I will not be posting in it anymore.

Oh fer christs sake.

It seems to be all sticking tongues out and saying 'nah-nah my soaps better than yours' in here these days.

This is a general forum to discuss ALL soaps and dramas. There are a million dedicated sites out there for all soaps where you can have a collective love in, this forum has many different types of people with many different tastes.

It's NOT an Eastenders, Corrie, or Emmerdale only forum.

All this childish crap is doing my head in.

It's more the fact that simply by saying EE is/was tehbest soap on any particular day/week/month... that a fan of another soap cannot like it/appreciate the sopa/or not like the soap.

The OP says If it's the case that A, then those that like B are wrong.

I think the only place to settle an argument like this is in the playground. What's everyone doing tomorrow at 1 o'clock?

I'm up for it. Though I've got hopscotch practice at two so we might have to make it quick....

When is it you go back to school Cian?

2 Episodes doesn't justify what soap is #1. I think it takes something around 2 months, not 2 days.

exactly! I'm fed up with all these pointless threads. If the Coronation Street fans did that for every good couple of episodes within the last couple of years, the forums would have been flooded with posts and the moderators would have still been trying to delete them now. It just proves that a lot of EastEnders fans are a bunch of immature children by posting these threads and thinking EastEnders is the greatest after 2 days of better episodes compared to what they've been.

So you've saw a good few episodes in the last few weeks and now it is the best soap? It sounds as if you're trying to convince yourself....

I agree with you! This week has been fabulous so far but it still isn't the best soap. Although the Den's death was a good storyline, it has been dragged out too long. I prefer Corrie though. But Eastenders IS improving
