Tim : Why has BB put him in the house ?
Calrissian
19-06-2002
Considering all that has happened last night, and in the previous week, the following comes to mind ?

For what reason would BB introduce Tim into the house ?

WHY ?
How does this alter the dynamics of the group ?
We have already seen how adele is going to progress, and we all now see how baby jade is falling apart faster than the san Andreas fault line.
At present though, i cannot see how he fits into the overall game plan for BB.

WE know.... He is vain, highly materialistic, insecure, wants attention.

Q . How do see him progressing in the game. Do you see other housemates seeing him as a credible threat to their chances of winning ?

my guess *they* thought he would be the groups alpha-male/leader that did not emerge naturally earlier on... my guess is that sandy was suppose to have filled this role but didn't. Spencer is at the moment , but in a disfunctional way ). so what of tim? i think it is too late to really expect him to knit into the schizo fabric of BB3 so late in the day so can't really be expected to fulfill the leadership role - unless Spencer goes - in which case tim might blossom into a first class royal pain in the arse. if Spencer stays then i think he'll stay around for a couple of weeks then get nominated and evicted.

hmmmm, i sounded almost, er, nothing, forget i spoke

I think that they (BB) felt that Alex could be gone soon and that Spencer would dominate and there had to be a challenge its such a shame the way the noms have gone because Spencer v Nice But Dim over the next couple of weeks would leave blood on the walls, but now BB has decided to back Alex (witness the "Alex for Prime Minister Show " on tonights BBLB -and I think worse is to come on C4 at 22:00) Timbo's job has suddenly become easier he must be praying for the Spencer eviction and will continue his pals act with Al. Have you noticed how he bricks himself when confronted with a quickfire conversation with Spence he will try to undermine Spencer for the remainder of the week by playing to Kate's softer side.Pity that this Friday will change the dynamics of the group for the worst Johnny and PJ will probably have to fight the male battle and I think old horse head is too good for them (that hurt me to say that)

Spencer has already gifted the Alpha male status to Tim See how Spanky has regressed into more of a slob than he was previously - he's admitted defeat even before the fight. Tim will emerge as the Alpha male and will get Kate too!!! He may be arrogant and dye his hair but he has the look of a winner to me - once he gets going of course which he hasn't so far. Maybe after the eviction he will start really playing the game more

Spencer seems a bit more up for it tonight Alex and Tim have retired to bed and Spencer is holding court I think he may be turning a corner I expect him to come out fighting on Thursday

Watching tim now, he looks soooooo bored outta his mind.
I would not be surprised if he starts talking about leaving this weekend.
Is he the type to do a walk ?

First impression - typical oxbridge reject, well mannered, over-travelled.

Tim should have the look of a winner, given his background, and indeed he did have a whiff of it about him when he went into the house.

But since the Jade-Adele incident he has looked like a scared man. He is out of his depth in there and knows it. If Alex goes he will be completely out of touch. And I don't think he will accede the alpha male crown in Spencers absence. I think it will pass to Jonny (strangely)

Yes Spencer does seem to have turned into more of a slob. But is that because we are being shown more of him, or is it the natural reaction to a new threat to act as macho (??!!) as
possible. (God I am turning into David Attenborough in the gorilla colony)

Hello David 'babycatcher' Attenborough... tough one. i'd say that his newly acquired slobbishness (sp?) is more on the natural reaction theme - along the lines of marking his territory with his scent thing (yuk).

yes I agree
So that's why he doesn't wash much, farts copiously and obviously, and treats Kate like a member of his harem (even if it is a harem of 1!!)
Funny how macho men feel the need to pass wind so blatantly, whereas women are more discreet about it.

It's obvious why Tim has been put into the house. To give us all a laugh!!!!

To be honest though I think they put him in to try and gell the group back together. When ever a group is falling apart if you introduce a new person in the group if oftens binds that group even closer as they either create a them & us situation, or they put on a combined face of unity in an attempt to make their group seem a welcoming one to the new comer. I think it has backfired on them. Just look at Sophie, she only joined a week after and she is still viewed as "the new girl". Tim just looks bored all the time & seems to be making no attempt to fit in, & they are already bitching about him.

So far Tim and Sophie are a complete waste of space. I'm sure they're nice people in real life, but c'mon. What were the BB producers thinking...?
