I thought Alex was gay Suppose Spencer is a bit of a **** himself but could well see some pumping action in the love nest if he stays

It's not pleasant in here anymore

You wanna see the sh*te some people have leveled at those of us who may think Adele is anything less than the Anti -Christ !

I'm seriously wondering why any of us bother trying to post given the intolerance going round.

So honest you can't SPIT the word out eh?

Straight guys can support Alex as well - so why imply it's only gay men will support him?

I don't think threatened is the right word. It's just a natural thing that "normal" attacks anything different to demonstrate and announce it's own normality. Perhaps there is some fear in the sense that "normal" hates to think that anything different may take over the role of "normal" or even become more popular.

I must confess I have a fear myself that anything like Alex becomes the "norm" - womenised men - yuck.

VIVE LA DIFFERENCE!

It's what makes life interesting.

It's nothing to do with your support of Spencer per se - he was my second favourite housemate after Alex - it's to do with the quality of the arguments you bring forth in support of Spencer.

And it's not flaming, it's advice.

If you really want Spencer to garner support through your arguments, you'll stop using the homophobic and misogynist approach.

Think about it. How many women are you going to get on the side of Spencer when you tell them not to vote for Alex becase
He is a woman ?

Why don't you tell us about some of Spencers positive points in a way that constructs somebody who is more than a farting, belching, perving machine. Quite possibly you are too young to realise that your descriptions of why you like Spencer do not make Spencer attractive to other people. If you learn that from this discussion, then you have learnt something of real value.

I never implied anything about who should and shouldn't vote for him.

All I say is - it's so obvious yet Alex is the one who can't spit it out.

spencer is rock'n'roll and would trash a hotel room, alex is boyband and would hoover it up. I wasn't much opposed to alex, but don't the pro alex group like to have it their own way, got plenty of threads to praise alex and slag spencer, and don't they get upset if you post anti-alex on them. Bit insecure me thinks.

I think I not only might have to switch BB off but I might have to stop posting on here too, it seems nobody is allowed to have an opinion anymore..... and there is a distinct lack of respect being shown 1) for the HMs & 2) for anyone who posts against the popularist view.

It's increasingly difficult also to have a sensible discussion about anything....

(lets wait and see the sort of replies I recieve now, if any!)

PLEASE DON'T FLAME!

Same here ! My blood pressure shot up yesterday with some of the inflammatory stuff posted. I really feel sorry ( and I didn't use to) for the HM's when they get out.
When I see some names I know not to read the thread and now have 2/3 on ignore for the sake of my health !
was it this bad during BB2 on these forums as I didn't use them?

If folk want HM's that are in touch with their feminine side then why take any chances - just put all "women" in and be done with it.

Pehaps then you may convince some non-believers to support him.

I'm afraid it is the alex supporters who are so far winning the campaign.

Lets here something really positive about Spencer eg. caring considerate etc.
I posted this earlier in the hope of receiving posts from Spencer fans. The only people who have posted so far supporting him have commented that they are too afraid to post for fear of getting negative responses. Why ?

If you present a reasonable case for your posting then other supporters may also make positive comments.

The reason Spencer supporters get negative feedback is that the postings contain no substance only one liners. eg.

He gorgeous etc etc

Spencer supporters think again, there is another way, vote him out!!!

Alex is another wannabe, his modelling career is failing and he thinks this will make him a star.. He had the nerve to blame Sept 11th for the failure of a campaign featuring him(this I think is unforgivable).. He is not funny, he has no tolerance for other people.. I just don't like the man.
Spencer has a dry sense of humour has shown that he is quite chilled out, he's a bit of a lad, but theres nothing wrong with that..
Its a shame we have to choose between the two this early, but we do so SPENCER MUST STAY...

I think you've made a mistake here

You have quoted my post at the top of your's then gone on to imply that I have made disgusting comments about other HMs

I haven't - ever

Boy oh boy you are threatened so easily ! One guy who's not a 'real man' ( in your version of what a real man is) in BB and you're think ' they' are taking over the world.

I want ALL sorts of men and women in BB and thats what we've got.

I like Spencer - especially after he was so kind to Jade today by gently taking the pee out of her to diffuse the tension. Then he was very sweet about Alex in the diary room.
But I suspect if he gets any nicer he may get too 'feminine'.....

I hope that spencer does stay tomorrow, because i feel spencer will be more entertaining that alex up until the end of big brother. It's been said a lot by spencer fans on this forum but spencer is more entertaining during the darker hours of the day, the channel 4 highlights programme hasn't done him justice, and have chosen to omit most of these moments.

You wouldn't have known it from tonights program but Kate, Jonny and Spencer went on to cook a meal of egg and chips after being in the kitchen. They've hardly shown any of the stuff they've been getting up to at night. But they have been having some really interesting chats. I think originally they were keeping the footage back because Spencer was so popular they thought they would have plenty of time for him shine later.

Hehe... only an Alex supporter could be so condescending.

Spencer would never say anything so self-righteous...

Up Spencer!

I think its a shame we have to choose from the 2 best people in the house but after a long thought even though i like them bot ..... ALEX MUST GO !

Spanky is nicer looking and i just think we havent seen the best of him yet. It would be interesting to keep him in for at least another week and see if he "comes out of his shell".

Alex has been quite open from the start and im starting to get bored of him slightly

i prefer the mean and moody type of man so i would like spencer to stay ..... but best of luck to both of them....its going to be a close one!

I find it strange the people who want spencer kept in the house always say he good looking and we havent seen the best of him.

maybe this is the best of him and it all downhill from here now.

Keep Alex In.

I'm just adding my name to this thread because I am SICK of the "ooh but I love Alex" posts!

Spencer has not had a chance to shine having been stuck on the poor side for two weeks and I'd really like to see what happens with him on the rich side.

Unfortunatly the poor side is very boring for the HMs and you end up acting like your surroundings IMO.

People complain because Spencer is always asleep, but I think this is also because of where he is, I think they all stay up late and rise late so they don't have to 'watch' the rich side eating and drinking too much.

Also people say he doesn't wash but he does! He isn't washing his clothes as a protest at being on the poor side.
[/QUOTE

Yahoooo, totally agree with you *JM* that's exactly the way I see it

I didn't mention anything about his looks and have never done so. Why do you have to dismiss peoples arguments instead of countering them.

For the second night on the trot Alex is off to bed at 11:30 - it's going to get really dull at night if he stays.

And all the millions of posts attacking Spencer contain the same useless one liners "Stinky Spencer- vote him out". Maybe hes only worth one line. I reserve judgement on who to vote out but I like Spencer because he is different from everyone else, not constantly cracking jokes and being stupid for the cameras yet he still is funny and entertaining to watch (despite certain comments). Alex is also very funny but he is always a little over the top but then again he is VERY funny. Spencer should stay to calm pople down and create an atmosphere. Alex should stay to wind people up and create an atmosphere. Hmmmm.
