Homechoice e-mail via SMTP

Hi all - I'm having problems sending e-mail using the SMTP server (I have my Homechoice account configured within Outlook). Outlook is telling me:
'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Before I contact them, I just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem? Inbound e-mail still works fine, and ominously this problem seemed to have started yesterday, so could be linked to the upgrade?

Thanks in advance for your help.

PS My view on the TV front: all they need now is the ability to "press red" and I won't even be thinking about leaving them...

smtp.homechoice.co.uk is the correct setting however check your connection setting in further settings it should be via lan

Yes it is. Sorry, I should have said - it's been working fine for months. It's working again today... must have just been a blip.

firewall update? specially if you have norton.
