There is a big rumour here in London that the result for tomorrow’s eviction is being sorted by an gambling syndicate. Major bookies have stopped taking bets for the eviction, as there has been so much money put down on Alex staying in. Large amounts of money will be taken by few wagers if Alex wins the whole thing and these people have been working overtime in insuring Alex stays in as they think this eviction is like tomorrows world cup match, the final in all but name. If you think Spencer is a sure thing, look out for a big shock tomorrow.

Do you think this is fair?

I'm sure quite a few of us have had spanky on speed dial just because we want alex to stay,

and I swear since the nominations were announced the threads in bb forums have been heavily in favour of alex - or so it seems to me.

bookmakers are stupid to be taking bets on bigbrother because it it too easy for the punters to influence the outcome.

Everything is against Spencer, email scams, campaigns, tv shows and now betting stings. It'll be the biggest upset in the history of Big Brother is Spencer stay's tommorow night. If there wasn't all this nonsense going on the vote would be very difficult to call. I'm thinking the final percentages will end up 60%/40% with Spencer being evicted.

I would love to see Alex stay but this gambling syndicate thing doesn't sit square with me, the public should choose - vote rigging means that we may as well not bother.

Hence my thread the other day - 'Vote none of the above'........
Why waste your 25p's when bookies, punters and C4 are doing their damnedest to rake in the dosh. They care **** all about the dynamics of the programme - they just see the dosh !

yeah, just look at the odds a couple of days ago, I reckon spencer going to get well stuffed, wouldn't suprise me if he got as much as 70% of the vote, it's too easy to make money on, I made a fortune on Bubble being evicted last year, and the bookies know that this is the final, and the odds on alex to win would have been to tempting, you've only got to look on that we love alex so much thread number 127 or something and seeing if they could text for free and send in 500 votes, some of 'em are so pathetic

totally with you there, plums. I haven't voted at all for exactly that reason. If I thought it would make a difference, my phone bill'd be sky-high......Spencer is a bit too boring for my liking.

Unfortunate but true. The fact that the public no longer really controls what happens but betting rings do means the program may as well be scripted, it sucks some enjoyment away from the show.

If Alex leaves then the ratings will fall. Ratings = advertising revenue (just time the adverts midway throught the C4 10PM shows - they last forever!). If ratings fall then BB4 will be worth less next year when they get around to contracts later this year.

Its all so obvious really - I bet Davina herself will have Spanky on redial . . . . . not to mention the bookies!

. . . but betting rings have NO influence on the HM's behaviour so whats your point! They don't know how the outside world perceives them.

By the way, wasn't Tim an arsehole in the diary room trying to act cool as ice when that nice BB woman was ticking him off for being a smart arse about the World Cup info? He's out for sure as soon as he's nominated . . . . . I doubt they'll even take your bets on that one.

Why would the ratings fall? Up until this week Spencer was the most popular person in the house. Alex was about sixth. there is no reason to expect people will stop watching the program just because one of the housemates leave, whichever one it is.

Because Spencer sits on his ass all day. Who wants to watch that or his mindnumbingly boring conversations with Kate and PJ. At least there's a bit of life in Alex.

I watch the program at night not during the day, when Alex is in bed. You don't see me saying he's lazy or boring. Spenver comes to life at night. Try reasoned arguments instead of insults otherwise it just gets boring.

The funny thing about all this "Spencer is lazy" stuff, is that I guarentee that if you were to add up all the hours Spencer and Alex have spent in their beds since the start of the programme, it would be a VERY close run thing.

Excuse me, but how exactly does he come alive as you so put it? Even at night he is sitting on the sofa discussing boring topics with PJ and Kate. His whole schoolboy persona is annoying. At least with Alex, he's entertainment. I think for you to call me insulting is quite hypocrital. Some people go to their work in the morning, so they don't spend the early hours glued to the TV.

He hasn't been near the sofa for two weeks.

Who is entertaining? Is that what the show is about? I thought it was about personalities, who you feel is the guy or gal you wouldn't mind having a drink with or being your neighbor. If it was about entertainment, don't you think those ***** at C4 would have got a Magician and Dancer in?

Oh they did.....Sandy disappeared and Lee is about to Strip!

Entertainment - something you enjoy watching or taking part in. I would say it is entertaining in regards the nomination results on Friday nights. We take part in it in that we decide (or a gambling syndicate).

...all DAY maybe, but what sad people watch during the day? At night he's awake when boring Alex is asleep. If Spencer leaves my nights watching BB with be devoid of the most entertaining person in the house.

Maybe you find his conversations boring because you don't understand irony? Or dry humour?

What on earth do people see in Alex that's so entertaining? Self absorbed, socially inept, semi intelligent? Besides the conflict he causes through his blunderings does he ever bring anything possitive to the show?

Some people go to work in the morning AND manage to stay up to the stupidly early hours watching BB...and many nights Spencer, Kate, Jonny and PJ have had amusing conversations and ridiculous antics in those hours....and when I watch during the morning/day I see everyone that hasn't been up having fun all night lazing in the sun, or cooking/eating, and when doing anything besides this being engrossed in self absorbed facile conversations with as much deepth as a very flat thing after being run over by a steam-roller, and then stretched to pull it flatter still until it's so flat that even the word flat looks embarassed about claiming to be flat.
