The old house could be seen from the disrict line (LT) and was pulled down shortly after BB2 finished

Talking of the old house (and completely OT), I liked the effect on the ending show of the last series where they turned off the house lights and had an echoey quote from each room as the lights were turning off...... I really hope they do that for this series too.

Is the site of the old Big Brother house just a patch of grass or wasteland now?

You can see where the series one and two house was on this map on the multimap website:

http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.c...multimap.y=220

Look on the map for Lee Valley Park, on the bottom left corner of the park youll see the footbridge leading to Three Mills Studios where Davina did the run to the house on eviction night.

The house was just above wher the map says "Channel sea river".

You can walk over the bridge as theres a public footpath alongside the river.

Today its just scrubland and bushes.

This is an aerial photograph of the site (series 1 & 2 house) minus the house.

again from the multimap site.

Can anyone do the same for the Elstree house?

Elstree is a little village a few miles from Borehamwood (where the studios are....)

See link for map. Arrow is the studio complex. Aerial photo is avalable on that site, but think it does not vover the exact spot.

The old BB site has gone back to being a Nature reserve, i know this as I asked the editors what it was, they sent me a letter telling me it will remain a nature reserve and that the only thing left there from big brother 1 & 2 is the tree from the back garden.

I prefere the bridge to the stairs (I walked the bridge )

Yep you cant miss it when you are there its HUGE , just head for Tescos lol (bet on a monday you can spot the BB staff in tesco they will be the ones with the trolly ladened down with copious amounts of booze!)

And like I said before its in the 'Elstree film and television studios' but they are situated in Borhamwood not Elstree ,wonder if its to confuse people?

Yeah, its weird they build them near Tescos. I parked in the Tesco carpark when I visited the old house.

To anybody else who visited the old house, did you see the murals on the brick wall when you walk round to the bridge?

In the last series, they actually delivered the food in Tesco's bag's. Tesco's MUST be cashing in somewhere... I'm sure they must be sponsered somewhere along the line.

It remind's me a bit of the Truman Show, where all the products are available to buy in the shops.

Also, have the Three Mills Studios been left dormant, or do TV programmes continue to be made there?

Not really... The 1st studio built in the Elstree // Borehamwood area was closer to Elstree, hence the name. Many other studios sprang up over the years as the place became almost a British Hollywood, the name of Elstree stuck as a generic name for the area. The only studios to remain are this one ( which used to extend all the way across the site where Tesco now is) , & the BBC (which used to be ATV!)
