I am having problems with the software picking up my phone (via Infra red) when i activate it and lie it up, it says the phone is in range, when i go to the software it says somethin abolut the port, and it being offline... so its not picking up my phone! any idea?

could be due to the infra red settings... are you using a usb irda ?

its fitted into my laptop, how do i change the settings

with it being in built, im not entirely sure if this will work. My laptop one worked straight away, it was with the irda dongle i had the problem with.

in device manager, find your irda device, > right click > properties and chose advanced. In here you will see Default Transceiver, and a drop down box. Remember the original value, and change the setting to see if that will cure (i had to change mine to vischay).

As i said, this was how i got my dongle to work, and not the inbuilt one.

Im TRYING to use Bletooth now, i go to the software, and select the port, it comes on my phone to connect by serial, i say yeh, and nothin happens! ) HELP
