Dont know if anyone was watching JAWS last night on ITV1 but HC had an advert! Very funny actually! It was all about these peole on holiday with dolphins saying how amazing iot was and how they never want to go back and then they ask their son if he is loving it and he says "i wanna go home" then the new HC logo flashes up!

Quite amusing! But this must mean they are going national! Especially advertising on ITV1 and at a prime time i.e during movie on sunday night.

Very interesting

Could just be a regional advertisement for London, although that still wouldn't be cheap at that time.

Advertising on ITV is done on a regional basis, what what appears during an ad break in the LWT region over a weekend can (and usually is) totally different to what appears on Granada, Tyne Tees etc etc.

Still its the first HC ad i've seen on TV. In the past its always just been on the tube or on capital. Or in the METRO. Never on TV. I'm just saying that i think that this is all part of the new and improved HC and is another step ion the right direction. AND THE AD IS FUNNY!

There is an article in Marketing from last week which outlines this campaign and says that it supports their national roll out later this month.

HCustomer services also confirm their is a national roll out program

i think their new branding is really lowbrow and mass market - not a patch on their stylish old stuff. it's NTL circa 5/6 years ago... ugggggly

Sorry - you're wrong there. I love the way they've branded themselves as a digital home network - that's exactly what it is, and just the name "homechoice" doesn't really convey that.

Once I tell people that our telly, phone, broadband all comes down one little wire in the corner of the room they're amazed. What's more, when my friend whips out his PDA and is able to just jump online anywhere in our house (thanks to wireless) he's tickled pink!

I think the slickness of the whole HomeChoice "experience" (for want of a less smarmy expression) is second to none... when it all works correctly that is!

Ok terry they are not wrong they have expressed an opinion that you disagree with fair enough but it doesn't make it wrong. Personaly I agree with mbear the logo is overly simplistic and boring it doesn't do anything for me except make me think it's something for pre-schoolers.

I have been telling people my phone tv and internet are from a single supplier for quite a while they are called ntl, or telewest or even some of the earlier cable companies could be included here. as for the pda, any wireless router would make that possible so no big deal their I hope you provided your friend the authentication details for your wireless network rather than running an unsecured wireless network.

what slickness are you refering to the i'd rate their epg above ntls but below skys personally but i'd have to rate ntl (much as i hate to say it) above homechoice for uptime over the last few years.

There's another one with a woman and a monkey who has a doll baby and one of those Speak And Spells - doesn't that rip off two different Simpsons storylines?

In Croydon High Street this week there are people selling Sky at one end of the High Street and Homechoice at the other end. Every time I have walked past the HC stand there's been 1 or 2 people signing up whilst the Sky stand has remained empty! Looks like the ads must be working.......
