What is the facination with wanting the queer folk to win?

Why do we find being "camp" so entertaining? To spend all day acting like a women, oh great!

It is just such a pity that the gay bloke gets the advantage of having the womens votes as well as the blokes who find him funny (oh, and the gay ones).

Dont get me wrong, being gay is up to him but it is starting to get a little cliche in the UK now that we find feminine blokes cute and funny.

Firstly as far as we all know Alex is'nt gay. Secoundly people wanting Alex to win probaly has nothing to do with him "Having a feminin side" He is a geuninely nice and funny guy and hes very entertaining. Just because a gay person won Big Brother last time you think its cliche? Biran and Alex are two completely different people, me only really liking the latter.

I think you should apply to Channel 4 for a job casting BB4. I can't speak for my fellow posters, but personally, I can't wait to see this "Real Men/Real Women" BB.

The men will be 6 burly types, wearing flat caps and spitting on the floor when they aren't smoking tabs and drinking beer. There'll be fisticuffs aplenty as they accuse each other of spilling their pints, looking at each other's birds etc.

Meanwhile, 6 "Real Women" will flounce around in frilly dresses, smiling indulgently at the silliness of "their boys" and cooking and cleaning. In the few moments they have free, they'll alternately gossip and discuss the niceness of fluffy kittens.

Perhaps Father Jack could make a surprise appearance to judge who was the Loveliest Girl?

Last year they did some very physical tasks which showed the weak links.

Maybe doing the same would highlight the ones who deserve it leaving the camp ones to go and clean toilets for a living.

They also did piling sugarcubes neatly one on top of the other (Dean's world record attempt). It wasn't obstacle courses and ten mile forced marches last year.

As if it needs to be said, your point also isn't necessarily true - anyone who's been following ITV's "Lad's Army[1]" (I know, I know) will have seen two fairly stereotypical "blokes" drop out of the training (Stanford, and beer loving Hammond, iirc). Meanwhile the gay recruit, and the young lad who keeps a teddy bear his girlfriend gave him in his locker are both still in, as is the fellow who cries because he misses his family, etc. I'm not sure that either of them has excelled, but they were able to endure the PT, and taking the abuse of the Corporals & Sergeants, unlike the dropouts.

[1] Takes 30(?) youngsters through '50s style National Service Basic Training - PT, being shouted at from morning 'til night, lots of "You 'orrible little man" etc etc.
