Vodafone Contract Sharing

I have a contract with vodafone which has been running now for about 15 months. My girlfriend wants a new phone and was wondering wether it would be possible for her to go on the same account as me but pay for another phone with a different number???
Can you do this?
cheers

I've not known 2 people on a phone contract, but I can't see why not providing you are both prepared to be jointly & severally liable for it/them.

If it is possible, you would both have to undergo & pass a credit check, which begs the question:

Why do you and your gf want to share a contract? Why doesn't she get a contract of her own?

If you want to pay the bill for her, then she could send you the bills
(or vice versa)

If she has poor credit history, or is under 18, and so cannot get a contract of her own, you would be denied on a joint account (if that is possible)

You could, of course, take out another contract phone in your name, give it to her and send her the bills for it - only problem is, if she fails to pay, vodafone will come after you (but that would happen if you were jointly & severally liable anyway)

Im 18..... i wouldnt have any credit history! My gf is only 17 and obviously cant get a contract...... i took my contract out via my gf's mom..... but for some reason its gona into my name! maybe becuase i give them all my details when i spoke to them for my upgrade. Couldnt i just take out another phone on the same account? at the end of the day.... its more money for them isnt it.

Yes, you can certainly request another phone in your name - you will be responsible for paying it as far as Vodafone are concerned.

As you say, as your gf is only 17, she cannot be tied to a contract, either in her own right nor jointly with you.
