It was axed, which was a shame as it was pretty good. It was treated in typical ITV style - given bad time slots, which kept changing every week.

Hate to disagree BUT (!) IMHO it was the most appallingly shameless rip-off of London's Burning imaginable. It had nothing new to offer and that audience saw through it pretty quickly - hence its demise. Plus I should imagine that Granada - a bunch of penny-pinching skinflints - would not fight for it given that it would have eaten up more than the average budget.

All in all, a wasted opportunity ...

Shows like this inevitably cost so much money, so you have to get it right. It was slated to high heaven and after that and poor ratings there was no chance of it risking a recovery attempt with a second series.

recon that if it was shown on Monday night at 9PM on ITV1 it would be better. They had it on a wednesday before and IMO with champions league matches it was being changed from pillar to post.

All TV shows take time to iron out the flaws. Look at the bill when it started. Poor show, now look at it, one of the most popular dramas in the world
