I have a 3 network contract phone.

This has been cut off by 3 due to outstanding payment owning.
what i would like to know is can i buy a 3 pay as you go sim card and put it into the phone i got and use it as a pay as you go??
i now want to stay as pay as you go and dont see the point in buying a new phone when i have a nice one not being used.

any help in this please.

I Do Believe That Is Possible With Other Networks But I'm Not Sure About Three I Think That It Would Be Best To Ask In The Shop

You can put a pay as you go sim card in no problem.

Its not a "Contract Phone". Its just a phone locked to 3's network, so will only except 3 Sim cards.

Probably find Three will invoice you for the real cost of the handset, if you have been cut off for non payment within the first 12 months, or invoice you for the remaining months left on the contract.

There have been some suggestions that if you fail to pay your contract fees, but have kept the subsidised/free mobile phone, the network not only blocks the sim, but also blacklists the phone because it has effectively been stolen (i.e. obtained without paying). Obviously this will not occur if you are outside the initial contract period (12 or 18 months), or you have already reimbursed the network for the full price of the phone.

Just a warning.

I would agree and if you caryr on using the phone i guess it would be theift landing you in a bit more trouble. You could find yourself standing before the judge facing a shed load of CCJ's. I'd seriously think about paying the outstanding balance then getting yourself a 3 pay sim card. Of course not paying the bills will cause a number of other problems when you come to change your credit card, get a car loan or finance the new sofa.
