Yeah it was those 2 reasons that he got the strike.

Why did he write his mam n' dads names on the table??
It might just be me, but that strikes me as weird.

Why is that wierd, perhaps he's missing them and it was his way of trying to tell them he's thinking about them...

A world away from the American BB where a just married woman (Nicole) got a little freaky in the hot tub late at night with another housemate Will (toes/genitals/underwater/discrete) and then her husband Jeff (having read postings and feed transcriptions ala DS updates) responded by sending her a plane banner the next day over the house.

It read....

"N&W IN HOTUB IM BETRAYED & HURT J"

As you can imagine it messed her head up bad to the delight of all the fans who mostly hated her.

If he was missing them why didn't he just say then? Maybe he can't speak directly to them via a camera, but he can certainly express his feelings to another HM.

Couldn't he just say, to no-one in particular: "God, I miss my parents, beer, masturbating" etc?

Or would that be construed as communication??

Bit harsh if it were.

They might think that if they admit to really missing someone, that would give the other HMs an excuse to nominate them & the public an excuse to vote them out

That goes back to the absolutely lame excuses poeple used in BB1 + 2 for nominating. Do you think that 'missing someone' would be an acceptable reason for nominating in BB3? I would be disappointed if it were - I hated that in the last two series, its just a cop-out coward's excuse.

I don't think if Johnny just said he missed his family it could be counted as communication with the outside world, the HMs have discussed the things they miss on numerous occassions and I haven't noticed any of them get pulled for it.

So I stand by my original words and say that I still think Johnny carving names on the table was a bit strange - and destructive come to that, as well as a permanent reminder to all that he's missing his family if they were looking for a lame excuse to nominate him.
