Spartacus

Does anyone know if the upcoming release of Spartacus is going to be anamorphically enhanced. Having just bought 2010 I was disappointed the film had black bars top & bottom a review of this disc before I bought it would have been useful. Is there a website that reviews all R2 Discs?

All DVD's normally say on the back of the box whether they are in anamorphic or letterbox.
Failing that, check out any major website http://www.hmv.co.uk http://www.whsmiths.co.uk,that sells DVD's,as they give details on a titles screen aspect ratio.
Try http://www.amazon.co.uk as they give the best details on releases or http://www.play247.com.

I buy my dvd's by mail order so don't get to look at the box before I get them. As for aspect ratios I haven't a clue. What I need is simple enhanced for widescreen tv's. I'll try the sites suggested though.

Whilst it has not been confirmed officially I have been told it will be anamorphic. To get the latest on upcoming discs keep looking at http://www.dvdnews.co.uk

Thanks for that, I do check out quite a few R2 sites including dvdnews.co.uk. I don't recall any of these sites covering anything but the release date for 2010 and that it was DD5.1. Maybe their not to blame there's a lot of discs coming out and a lot announcements so some dics are going to be low priority. I guess I'll have to wait until Spartacus is out before I order it.
