Does anybody know if it is possible to block calls, texts and voicemails from one particular caller?

Don't want to change numbers, as so many people, including business contacts, have the phone.

Thanks

Dont think so...You could pretend to be someone else every time they ring? Like Dave from Manchester, or someone?

I think its about time that the networks started a service like this or even annonymous caller rejection would be good.

If you've got a smartphone you can run programs to deal with this sort of thing..I use Advanced Call Manager on a P910i and you can create all sorts of rules, whitelists and blacklists...

I'm not sure if you can manage texts with it or not..i tend to use it for more basic stuff..

I use that too, can't do anything with texts, but numbers have many options based on who they are.

I have it on my A1000, but you can get it on series 60 phones too.

That's another software title, advanced call manager also exists on series 60 phones and seems to have more features than Blacklist.

Well if someone sends an unwanted txt the easiest thing to do is to txt back and say "I have just taken over this phone.who the devil are you?"

If the phone rings and the phone has caller display, the easiest and cheapest way is just to not answer it.

The E65 is a Symbian 9 phone so you can use any Series 60 3rd edition software.

This can also be done by many different programs (some free, some not), on Windows Mobile devices.

Samsung D900 also has feature to block callers and text. Maybe it's a common feature across the samsung range of phones.

Not sure about texts but for calls, all someone who is determined to call has to do is withhold their number. Don't think there is any way you can block this except maybe by contacting your phone operator.

I tend to assign a different ringtone to people I don't generally want to speak to.

You can't do it via network - the most the mobile provider can do is change your number (the first time for free - any later time they will charge you).

You may have the blocking functionality on your handset though - check the manual.

I have just installed Advanced Call Manager on my N95 and my favourite feature is the ability to instantly send callers with witheld numbers straight to it's built in voicemail. This allows me to tell callers to call back showing their number or leave a message if they can't. It has stopped so many annoying calls and the best thing is the phone doesn't even ring disturbing you when they call. You can also add callers to blacklists which is great!

Arielle, what phone do you have?

The reason I ask is because I have a Samsung D900 and there is an option to add individual numbers to a block/reject list, for phone calls and also for text messages.

SO............it is possible.

they've had this feature on samsung phones since the days of the d500.

i cant do it on my sony ericsson k810i but there is a feature called "accept callers" where you have a list of the people who can call you otherwise those that are not on the list will get no answer/voicemail.
