Okay, we know Jade is one of the most ignorant human beings on earth, but the more I watch her, the more I wonder whether she really is as stupid as we think. Like a certain Nasty Nick before her, she has managed to convince all the housemates that she likes them, that she's friends with them, and that it's the OTHER housemates she has a problem with.

She cuddles up to Kate, they talk lovingly about Spencer and how much they miss him...what's wrong with this picture? Well, nothing, except that Jade has told Adele (and maybe others, I've lost count) how much she dislikes Kate, and if we think back two weeks, we'll remember that she disliked "lazy, dirty" Spencer so much she nominated him. She has used this tactic with almost everyone in the house.

She has massive fights with Adele and Alex, but then she makes up with them, employing her shy little smile, and all is forgotten. Maybe not forgotten, but both Adele and Alex seem willing to make allowances for the "baby" of the house (who is only one or two years younger than the rest of them) and not take things she says when she's drunk too seriously. Not to hold grudges. Adele seems to actually like her; with Alex it's harder to tell, but I suspect that he's trying to like her, perhaps against his better judgement.

When she was called into the diary room the other day after passing wine through to the poor side, the minute she knew she was in trouble, she began using baby talk, "Oooo, me so sowwee Big Bwuvver..." and isn't it interesting that although she's been reprimanded more times than I can remember and barred from nominating last week, she hasn't gotten any strikes (unless I'm mistaken?). Is BB making allowances for "the baby of the house," too?

Call me paranoid, call me a suspicious b**ch, but the more I watch her, the more I wonder whether Jade is possessed of a hefty helping of street smarts, and is pulling the wool over all our eyes. She's convinced us she's too stupid to be two-faced, too stupid to have a game plan, and yet...

None of the housemates knew what Nasty Nick was up to until one day they began to compare notes. If these housemates were to tell each other what Jade has said about every single one of them behind their backs, what a nasty surprise for them all.

Her father is doing time for burglary; her mother is a "brawler" who gets into violent fights with her neighbors. It's easy to understand why Jade is the way she is, but is she really "borderline psychotic" as has been suggested in other threads, or is she an ignorant, immature, self-centered but very clever, very sly young lady who is employing the tactics she learned at home and on the street to play the BB game and make fools out of the housemates, the producers, and most of the viewers as well?

She was warned about her drinking, on the night that she got into the row with Adele. She just needs to be reminded about it when she's sober enough to remember.

Jade doesn't *know* what she's doing: she's just being herself, and BB are such morons and pathetic weaklings that they let her get away with it. Jade is not directly manipulating them, not that she's aware of anyway. It's just lucky (for her) that BB is such a bunch of pussies.

The same can be said for Spencer and Kate assisting in the Affair of the Chocolate: they clearly in my view deserved strikes, and yet big softy, managed to FIND A REASON NOT TO GIVE THEM ONE.

That's all it is: BB only issue strikes if they CANNOT think of a reason NOT to do so: and Jade's acting all contrite gives them that reason.

Did you see that they didn't give Johnny a strike as soon as he was in the diary room, EVEN THOUGH HE SAID HE EXPECTED ONE. They had to go away and have a little meeting and announce it later: even though he'd BLATANTLY FLOUTED the rules. How wet is that??

I have said this sweveral times. I think could be playing a very clever game here. I really can't believe she's that thick on stuff. She comes out with really ridiculou stuff and then I've seen her on the live feed say something really intelligent.
I am very suspitious of her.

I for one agree with the basis of your points that she is extremely good at manipulation; a simple skill that she has mastered to great effect… to listen carefully and to capitalize on what you know. She is playing each one off against the other, this is *deliberate* and tactical .. and although she takes a risk each time she does so, is more than aware that it’s a strategy that has worked so well in the past, so why change?

She was also the primary instigator last night in the ‘slagging’ [and therefore ‘finger pointing’] of Sophie. This is the one person she wishes to get rid of above all others because she is more than aware that Sophie is the least one she can control and manipulate .. In getting ‘rid’ of Sophie she also stands a much increased chance of survival as she can then switch between ‘groups’ .. quite easily, selecting the winning side at will ..

The baby language was endearing at first. Now she use's it all the time. Even when she sings. It's an obvious filler for her, when she's trying to focus attention on herself but has nothing interesting or funny to say.

She may well be good for entertaining the house but she's too irritating and it's embarrassing to watch her.

You might have "said this sweveral times"[sic], but that doesn't make it right. Okay, you're really that she's not that think really, seems to be based on the fact that she is capable of "really intelligent" conversation.
I don't know what you call "really intelligent", so I'd appreciate some examples, then I can comment. Unless you're afraid to have your views scrutinized; then I won't expect a reply.

But notwithstanding that, your argument, as it stands, can be shown to be nonsense in 2 ways:
1. Even 6 year olds are capable of having conversations from time-to-time, that does NOT make them mature or "acting" when they do something silly, like generously repaint your new car for you in a variety of tatesful colours etc.

2. I have seen interviews with mentally ill people (I'm NOT saying Jade is necessarily "ill", this is just an analogy) and for the most part one can talk to them quite "normally". But then they'll suddenly come out with something REALLY extreme, like hearing voices, feeling insects all over them, feeling people are listening in to conversations, monitoring their thoughts etc. But you'd have to be being silly to suggest that they were deliberatley ACTING (this could get *very* philosophical here, but lets keep it basic for now, people) .

So what I'm saying is that the fact that Jade CAN be "intelligent" sometimes, does NOT disprove that fact that she is generally very stupid.

No, I don't think so, she acts exactly like one precocious child at my daughter's primary school and she is one wicked (wicked as in bad) little girl.

....but I do believe she could be capable of faking utter stupidity to get her through the full competition.

Unlike Helen in BB2 I think that Jade isn't as dumb as she seems and is using a front to keep herself in the game.

It helped her imennsly that she was nominated along with Lynne in the first week. It was her salvation.

As Lynne was mouthy and aggressive for no good reason it meant that Jade was more preferable to the housemates at that time as she seemed sweet and someone to laugh at by comparison.

Plus she would have been made to appear to the housemates as an easy option to keep in the game to the end as she was obviously not as popular to the public (otherwise they wouldn't have nominated her) and would therefore be most likely to win against when the end comes, whilst remaining more tolerable to live with for the duration.

Jade is playing on this and is probably hoping opinions of her by the public will change by the end of the comp.

Helen was endearingly dim, Jade is not only dim but has shown a venomous side I think this is where the criticism of her will lie the greatest.

As someone who works in Mental Health, id say there's no evidence that Jade is 'psychotic'. She strikes me as immature and insecure. As for her intelligence, well its hard to measure, but she's certainly uneducated. I also think she's a fairly unhappy person. I think the drinking comes from that and also from her insecurity.
Taking my 'professional' hat off id also say she irritates the f*** out of me. She probably thinks shes being clever ingratiating herself with Adele, Alex and Tim but they're brighter than her and realise that keeping her sweet helps secure their position. Shes certainly no threat to them, they wont vote her off for that reason.
That little girl lost routine is easily the most irritating thing ive seen in BB3!

Someone claimed she was psychotic. The routine i referred to is a learned behaviour, I imagine its helped her get what she wants in the past. It doesnt mean shes clever!
