Sorry, the psychotic reference was on another thread. ”

It is VERY confusing: there are so many threads that say the same things.

Happen to agree though, I don't really think she's psychotic. IF she had anything (for the sake of exercise): possibly Narcissitic (i can NEVER spell that bloody word - wonder what Freud would say about that!) Personality disorder. Dunno, I mean there are what:11 personality disorders (depending on what classification you use) so she probably could fit several!!!

But in reality I agree with you: she's just immature. Yes, she has learned that adults do respond certain ways to "babyish" dependant etc behaviour. Though she'd better grow out of it soon, I'd say she can JUST get away with it now (at 22), but as she gets older she'll find it more life-limiting. Yeah?

For pity's sake everyone! Jade is simply a very poorly educated girl frm a deprived background, deeply lacking in self-confidence who is increasingly displayng worrying signs of falling apart. ( constant drinking, eratic behaviour etc...)

She is not some machiavelian genuis no matter how interesting that idea might be to some people. Anyone who seriously believes otherwise is only one step removed from Jade herself.

Er? Everyone?
I think you'll find the notion that Jade is some kind of scheming supergenius, is held by the (very bizarre) minority.

Your last sentence is MEGA true.

I must admit I Can't make my mind up about Jade.

However had to laugh today when someone (think it was Alex) was talking about someone he knew and said he's the sort of guy where "the lights are switched on but nobodys at home!"

Jade replied "I don't know what that means".

Is she taking the P**S or what?

"why can't he see it"? That's a good question the answer is very invloved but it basically boils down to the fact that we are "tuned" to looking after children. There are 2 rather babyish people where I work, and everyone thinks they're really "sweet": except me: i lack the slightest of paternal feelings and can see these people for what they really are: immature people who need help. But their life-strategy works and so they of course think that is the way to behave. They, like Jade, don't know any different. If Jade ends up like the people I know (and I don't see why she wouldn't) they end up as highly dependant adults, trapped in shit relationships where blokes take advantage of them big style. In worst cases they end up as battered wives.
what annoys me is that by merely labelling them as "acting" you deny these women (and they do seem to be women most of the time) the help that they need, until they eventually end up in the Well Women centres or worse.
